Spent a lovely few days at the Oude Werf during a recent visit to South Africa. The location is great within Stellenbosch -- wonderful to walk the old town and enjoy neighboring art galleries, wineries, and other sites. The hotel has extremely comfortable rooms and the staff is over the top wonderful -- looking after every possible need. Don't miss the (free) coffee bar and the wonderful breakfasts. All our meals there were great and we could not have had a better experience. Thanks to the entire team for a fantastic and memorable stay.

We stayed at this cute boutique hotel for three nights. We are a family of four and booked two rooms, one being the “teen” room which is a room with a bunk bed and bathroom. It was a great set up for our family. The only complaint is that the teen room was quite stuffy because it did not have A/C. There is a well maintained swimming pool and our family made use of it daily. There is parking out back, we were told that parking could be full but we never had any issues. The staff were all courteous and smiling. There is a nice buffet breakfast and the baked goods each morning were very good! The rooms were clean and spacious. There is a safe for valuables and a mini bar and fridge. The hotel is in a great location to walk the town. Restaurants and colleges all within walking distance. We didn’t use our car, except to visit wine estates. I’d recommend this hotel.

Stayed at Devon Valley Hotel for a working conference during 5 days. The hotel is perfectly located with breathtaking views to the valley and mountains. Adding to the view, an outstanding service by a dedicated staff, fully commited to provide guests whatever they need to make their stay unforgetable. Each meal served at the restaurant unlocks the flavours of south african and international cuisine, not to speak of the creative and delicious coffee breaks during the day. Certainly, a place to be back.

We are currently in Asara and are blown away by the view, room and overall ambiance. I booked based on reviews (not the restaurant) and we are VERY happy with the accommodations. The staff has been most pleasant. Upon arrival up the beautiful long driveway, we were met by a porter who took our bags right to the room - not an easy task - it was a bit of a (gorgeous) trek and up stairs for the deluxe rooms. The room is gorgeous and I could host 20 people on this balcony! What a view!! Very quiet, away from the town only by a short car ride. Wine tasting was fine, no option for pairing, but really there are so many places to choose around town. Very tasty fudge for turndown service! Should sell it!!

We were on a wine tour just after Christmas and decided on the spot just to hop in there. It was close to closing time but the wine steward, Janine, still did a thorough tasting with us downstairs in the cellar. I have been at numerous wine tastings but Janine's approach and knowledge was excellent. We had a wonderful time and not once did she rush. The wine is excellent and deserves every star it achieved. We left there with 2 of your MCC bottles and several other wines. I am so impressed and Lovane gets a special place on my list. Well done!
