My expectations have been much surpassed by this lodging. I was expecting a simple place to stay, but this place exceeded my expectations. We spent four nights at this hotel (supposed to be only three nights but I had a food poisoning after eating a food from a fast food nearby). Omar, one of the staff that maintains the facility, took excellent care of me. His father, too, was a wonderful host; he filled us in on the area's rich history and shared fascinating tales about the boathouses' origins. My husband and I were very well taken care of by Omar. Before stepping on a shikara, he had a small boat ready for us to get a feel for the region. He also planned and prepared our first day's breakfast and supper. This accommodation was fantastic, and the bathroom looked like it belonged in a five-star hotel. It was spotless in a holy way. One thing that really bothers me is all the plastic bottles floating about in the lake, but luckily every morning Omar goes out and picks them all up. Omar says he cleans the trash can every morning because birds like pigeons occasionally push it over, spilling waste into the lake below. When we came, they made us some tea and cookies, made us feel at home, and treated us like we were members of their family. To sum up, we have had the best possible stays at this hotel. There wasn't a single flaw in it.
