Beeches Farmhouse Country Cottages & Rooms

Had an amazing stay with family in Cow Byre 1 &2 and Pig Wig. Really comfortable, well-equipped cottages. It was a lovely surprise, especially for the children, to find a basket of chocolate eggs on arrival, along with a fully stocked cookie jar! Children and adults alike had a great time. Lots of outside space where the children can play. No complaints at all, just praise 😊

This was a great option to stay for a Christmas shopping day in Bath. It was away from the bustle but an easy drive in. We had one room for 3 adults, but there was plenty of space. It was comfortable and warm. We loved the extra touch of the welcome basket. Although we ate out, the room was equipped for making our own breakfast if we wished. We used the host's recommendations for places to eat out, both for an evening meal and breakfast - they were excellent. We hope to stay here again next time we visit Bath and the surrounding area.

We had adjoining cottages (Cow Byres 1 & 2) with family - 5 adults and a toddler. Both places were very warm, clean and well appointed. Comfortable beds, nice linen, fluffy towels. Spacious living areas with sofas, log burners and large kitchen tables with 6 chairs so good for eating together (also interconnecting door can be opened on request, which we did). Good showers (one large walk-in, the other over a bath (so suitable for babies and children). Stairgates and outside swing/slides make it a good place for young families. Fresh flowers, fresh milk and a responsive and proactive host made this a very easy and comfortable weekend break. We were also able to charge up our electric vehicle which was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

What an absolutely beautiful loccation & setting! We had an amazing time & were extremely grateful for Nigel & Pauline's hospitality. The cottages/rooms were great & exactly what we needed. They also let us use the grassed area to have a mini sports day! It was lovely to see the animals present & the dogs were regular visitors to where we were sat & they were very friendly. Being only approximately 15 minutes from Bath was perfect for us & Nigel kindly provided us with taxi numbers to get there. He also recommended ravello Italian restaurant which was beautiful. We would 100% recommend this accommodation & would happily return! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay. The location is a fantastic base for exploring so many interesting places beyond Bradford on Avon (Cheddar, Bath, Wells). Our accommodation (cow Byre 2) was so homely, fantastically clean and maintained and well equipped for a family. I must say we really appreciated arriving to tea/ coffee/ milk and the extra touches like oil/ herbs in the cupboard and toiletries so we didn’t have to buy our own for our short stay. Very comfy beds and we loved the cozy living space with working fire. We came up to visit family and have highly recommended you to everyone already.

room was lovely.On arrival he said key inside & walked off. no info or welcome pack just map of site.Googled bus times & asked him where to wait. Said he said there are no buses.Being in a black spot with no signal I was stuck. No offer to phone and book a taxi So did a long walk into town on crutches. I have osteoporosis & Avascular Necrosis of l.hip,why I’m in pain &can’t weight bear.waiting for a wheelchair &surgery. This was my 1st solo trip since b4 2wks in hospital &my partner got me a taxi all the way there The walking increased pain &had to keep stopping.I’d forgotten phone charger &lead & reading glasses (have chronic memory loss) he reluctantly lent me a rubbish pair.TV only let you watch terrestrial channels, kept sticking on 9 and pixelating. Netflix I could only see what someone else was watching still pixelated.I have a prolapsed bladder & wear pads until surgery.couldn’t get to the bathroom in time&wet through my pads & 1side of the bed (there was a waterproof sheet underneath). I did my best to clean it with water & soap and slept on top of the single bed-didn’t wet it.Tried tourist info,library left my phone there2 charge gave me glasses from lost property!Station going home discovered had left phone!A kind soul lent me theirs Got just abuse: place is a mess,bed is wet,you slept in both (so?) and hung up.Everyone in town knows he’s very rude and mean. Def a car needed &stay somewhere else, gr8 town😉

We had a wonderful week at Beeches. The cottages had everything we needed and more. The peaceful location was very calming. Just what we needed at this time of year. Even the bad weather could not spoil it for us. It was in a very convenient location for visiting so many places. Pauline and Nigel were very welcoming hosts and made us feel very comfortable. It is an ideal place for a holiday or short break.

Excellent well presented accommodation which suited all our needs for the three of us Lovely people who were on hand if needed Great base as we explored the Bath area despite the wet weather Would recommend these cottages to others and hope to return one day

I booked Beeches for a weekend (Fri-sun) for a hen do and this place did not disappoint. From the very beginning of my booking the owner, Nigel, was attentive, friendly and very informative. We booked the two cottages (cow byre) and a couple of ensuite rooms as our party was large. The cottages were quaint and spacious. It had everything we needed for our stay to make it a hen party to remember. Nigel and Pauline were around during our visit and were able to respond quickly to simple requests (such as needing an extension cable!) I could not recommend staying at Beeches more.
