Holiday Inn Express Santa Rosa North
3.9/581 Reviews
We were a family group reserving two rooms. One room was a King. The King room had only one set of towels in the bathroom. A call to the front desk promised towels would be delivered. It never happened and someone finally went downstairs and asked at the front desk. The second room as 2 Queens. Two Queens can sleep 4 people. The bathroom only had 3 sets of towels in it. After showering and settling in for the night it was discovered there was no tv remote in the room. A call to the desk said to come downstairs and get one. No one wanted to redress and go downstairs so the front desk finally delivered one to the door. There was no soap for the bathroom so we had to remove the body wash from the shower. A bar of soap at the sink would have been better. There is no counter space in either of the bathrooms nor were there any hooks on the bathroom wall to hang anything. Clean towels were piled on the back of the toilet. I prefer clean towels to be not be stacked on a toilet. There were stains on the carpets. In the room and common areas. Internet was spotty in one room where someone needed to log in to a business call.
Motel 6 Santa Rosa, CA - North

Worst hotel ever... I booked a room through *********** and cancelled my reservation less than 15 minutes later. Motel 6 had already charged my card and never cancelled the reservation on their end so they could charge me the $200. When I talked to the manager he assured me they had done everything necessary to facilitate my refund... never happened. Not to mention I had to call the hotel 4 or 5 times and left my number for a call back from the manager which never happened. The manager also said something like I booked a room that was non refundable even though on the booking cancellation policy it said I would be charged for 1 night and refunded the rest of my money after the hotel told me they would refund my total amount. So much unnecessary hassle for something soooo simple. Just refund my money... it's been 2 weeks and I haven't gotten anything but stress trying to work all this out. I also stayed here once before and their rooms were stinky, drink machines didn't work, staff wasn't very helpful at all, bugs on the wall, and a bunch of tweaker types hanging around.

This is not a bad little Motel they have smoking and non-smoking. They also have a large number of rooms as it takes up three buildings with a very nice pool area in the middle. The lobby was nice open and inviting staff was friendly air conditioning in the rooms is cold beds are okay TV was okay.
Hotel E
4.5/5101 Reviews
We recently stayed at Hotel E and I recommend it most highly. It’s a beautiful space with old world charm plus all the updates of the modern age. Entry, lobby, hallways and rooms are a beautiful, serene décor in light earth tones and spotlessly clean. The lobby bar is most enjoyable especially when something fun is going on across the small lane in Courthouse Square and Park. Rooms are on the small side but ours was perfect for a couple + a dog, which they accept for a small fee. And with the park across the street, there is no problem getting a non-leash-pooping dog to do his business. Take your pick-up bags, there are plenty of trash receptacles. The location is amazing with dozens of restaurants at your doorstep and less than a mile from the hospital which was the reason we were there. However, above all this loveliness is the amazing staff. Carmen and Tiffany are two standouts who did everything possible to go above and beyond expectations, including ensuring our car would be at the front door at 5:15am! I am Guest Services Director for a boutique hotel in Eureka California and if any of the staff would like to relocate, I’d hire them in a heartbeat! Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hotel E when you visit Santa Rosa, or hell, if you live there, go for a night of dining out and the Wednesday Night Market and Music on the Square.
North Bay Inn Santa Rosa
3.7/590 Reviews
I reserved a room at North Bay Inn, 1875 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa, CA, US, 95401 for two nights; October 25 and October 26, 2019. Because of the Kincaid Fire, the airport was closed and my flight from Santa Rosa to Los Angeles was canceled both on October 27 and October 28. I had to request another night's lodging from the management of North Bay Inn. When I requested another night, I was shocked by the rude, inappropriate and incredibly angry response I received from the manager, an Asian Indian woman who would not give me her name. American Airlines called me at 9 AM to inform me of my flight cancelation. I immediately called the manager at 9:15 AM to request another night's stay. This horribly rude woman demanded that I present myself within 15 minutes to the office to surrender my room. I told her that I need some time to pack and dress and requested 30 minutes. She shouted that she had a party of five that needed my room in 30 minutes and if I wasn't out I would not be able to get another room. When I went to the office, she continued to shout at me that she had not had any sleep because of the Kincaid Fire and the owner of the inn was on the phone with her throughout the night. I responded in a calm tone that if she talked to her other guests the way she was talking to me, it was no wonder the manager kept her up all night, as I was sure a number of guests would have complained about her rude, nasty behavior. She denied being rude or shouting as she continued to shout at me. I said okay may I please have another room. She shouted again that I would have to pay ”extra”, even though the room was smaller than the one in which I had stayed the two previous nights. When I asked why the room was so expensive, she again shouted that it was all she had and I had to take it or leave. She rudely said, ”Do you want the room or not? If you don't, get out, we're busy.” I reluctantly took the room. Because of the shabby way I was treated, I assure you that I will never stay in this hotel or in any hotel operated by the owners of this establishment ever again. It is my hope that these unworthy innkeepers will lose business until the manager is replaced by a stable, professional, customer serving individual. As a post note, when my taxi arrived at the hotel to pick me up, this crazed women came running out of the office to demand what he was doing there? I ask you, since when is it strange to see a taxi enter a hotel parking lot? The woman is deranged.
The Astro
4.4/599 Reviews
The Astro is a super-cute retro styled hotel, which was completely developed with the Instagram generation in mind. We arrived and headed into the office to complete the paperwork, and then headed to our room. I was a bit concerned about the concrete floor, which was a little cold, but it did warm up once the heating had been on for a while. There is a communal lounge and this is where breakfast is available. The selection was limited, but with granola that good, who cares? If you want more to eat, there is a very nice cafe across the street. The communal outdoor seating central area looked nice too, but the weather was too chilly to enjoy it during our stay. The orange trees were beautiful. The hotel is around 20-mins walk to the town centre. We were visiting Russian River, and the walk there and back was safe and easy. The mid-centuty styling of the hotel is it's major selling point, and it does make it a little more expensive, but it was worth it. I liked it.
