Just recently stayed for four nights at Solo Paragon Hotel for business trip and enjoyed my stay overall. To be very honest, Solo Paragon was not my first hotel choice when I looked at accommodations in Solo for this business trip. However, there was no other options left when I wanted to reserve as Solo had multiple international events during my time there. Pre-arrival impression was unpleasant as when I texted them requesting for airport pick-up arrangement, they turned down my request immediately stating that they were busy with the international event. Moreover, I requested assistance to send some packages from the hotel but again they turned down my request stating they did not provide that service. I have been working in the hotel industry for a while and fully understand that these two were supposedly the basic service offered to guests, let alone by a property at Solo Paragon Hotel level. At this stage, even before arriving to the hotel itself, I was devastated and had actually looked at other accommodation option. However, as everything was on prepaid basis I decided to just go with it. The tide started to turn when I decided to give the hotel a call one day prior to arriving, as I wanted to understand more about the city (this is my very first visit to Solo). Patty - the lady who picked up the phone, was super helpful answering my questions and really getting me prepped up for my trip. Throughout my stay also, I coincidentally met her almost every day of my stay (usually in the afternoon). She was always being nice, helpful, and friendly. She even assisted me to plan a short tour around the destinations in Solo. Her presence at the Front Desk really brought positive ambience there, in addition to of course all her colleagues in the Front Desk and Lobby area - including the Security team. Solo Paragon Hotel is also located in the heart of Solo, make it super easy to go everywhere. There are Solo Paragon Shopping Mall just downstairs - shops, coffee shops, night markets, and restaurants in walking distance - and also going around by car feels close to everywhere. Definitely recommended for travelers seeking for easy access to various places in Solo. At this stage, the great staff and strategic location really made my business trip convenient and at this point I had forgotten my unpleasant pre-arrival experience. However, still there are some points that requires upgrade for Slo Paragon Hotel to get their perfect 10/10 experience. First, I felt that there were no standards in the Housekeeping service; sometimes they left the bathroom door open somethings they did not, sometimes they folded the bath mat above the toilet sometimes on the floor, sometimes they brought spare laundry bag and form when I requested for laundry service and sometimes they did not. I believe that consistency is vital to strive for better guest experience. Second, cleanliness was never an issue but the building seemed to be very tired. Minor refurbishment would

Am wondering why so many people have to complain while and the same time they forgot about what they paid. Absolute value for money. Stayed for 5 days and changed room 3 times. After first room switch TV didn't work but was solved swiftly. Super friendly staff. After day 2 they welcomed me as an old friend. Comfy bed, clean towels, TV with all channels one might need, simple but tasty breakfast. Take the price in mind, and you cannot wish any better!

If you love really old building hotel. It’s Amazing and really good to have it. The room tiny but clean, and well concept. I book for a night and I get unforgettable staycation. Zest Solo, one of the newest 2-star hotels in the city of Surakarta. Its location in Manahan, the parking lot can be quite steep and narrow, fortunately the hotel offers free valet parking facilities. The lobby is a standard size with a modern interior. The room size is quite spacious and comfortable for a 2 star, equipped with benches, chairs and simple work desks. The mattress size 100x200 is comfortable enough with 1 pillow each per mattress. For the zest rooms, all of them are twin. They can set Hollywood but they are only attached and still easy to move, so it's not comfortable. In the room, they provide complimentary 2 bottles of 600 ml mineral water, and a dispenser for refilling mineral water at the corridor. The bathroom uses a head shower and faucet. For shampoo and bath gel, use a 2 in 1 dispenser system, no toothbrush is provided so it is better to bring your own. The wifi speed is not good, fortunately the TV shows are clear. There is also a room service menu that is affordable. Overall the rooms are quite comfortable because the condition of the hotel is still new and still well maintained. For breakfast, you can say the taste can be enjoyed and the variants are quite complete, there are pecel, yellow rice, bacem tofu, green bean porridge, indomie corner, egg corner, fried noodles, guava and orange juice, sliced fresh fruit and pudding. Unfortunately i see some people walking around, picking some food not using mask, i hope they can apply the health protocol strictly

This inn is easy to reach. The price is also very cheap for 2+ star class. And you can order through whatsapp where there is a promotion too. The promotion is complete. The room is very large, it can be for families and can add extra beds. The food menu is mostly local food and delicious. Wifi is fast. Room amenities are also complete for 2 people. Very good

Solia Hotel's location is quite strategic, near Solo Balapan train station, food scene and easy to get anywhere from there. Check-in process wasn't smooth, but it is totally understandable because the hotel was fully booked and many guests came at the same time. But hopefully the management can anticipate this and do better in the next holiday season. The lobby is a beautiful Javanese old building, pleasantly scented, the staffs were friendly and helpful. The rooms are located on the newer building on the back. They provide traditional beverages for welcome drinks. The room was clean, water and AC worked well. Bed and pillow were comfortable although there were some stains and holes on the bedsheets. Door handles of balcony almost broke because of its unusual way to open and close (though the management has stuck the instructions on the door). This hotel is recommended for those whose in budget and need centrally located hotel.
