I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction and gratitude towards the impeccable services provided by your hotel, The Sarai. I have had the opportunity to stay in numerous hotels during my travels, but The Sarai has truly left a lasting impression on me. First and foremost, I would like to highlight the outstanding level of service that your staff exhibited throughout my stay. The entire team at The Sarai, especially Rose, David, and Anna, went above and beyond to ensure that I had a delightful experience. Their dedication and willingness to assist me were truly commendable. I must add that all the other staff members were equally helpful and contributed to making my stay exceptional. Apart from the exceptional service, I was particularly impressed with the hotel's amenities. The comfortable beds ensured a restful sleep, the delicious breakfast provided a great start to the day, and the fabulous pool offered a refreshing retreat. Furthermore, I was thrilled to receive a complimentary 30-minute massage, which I decided to extend due to its immense relaxation benefits. I also want to express my appreciation for the assistance I received from your staff in various other aspects. From arranging transportation to and from the airport to helping me mail out postcards, their support was invaluable. I couldn't have asked for more. In terms of location, The Sarai's proximity to the main shopping and restaurant area is incredibly convenient. The short tuk tuk ride or 10-minute walk ensured that I had easy access to all the attractions and amenities in the city. Additionally, I would like to mention the excellent tuk tuk drivers that your hotel has partnered with. These local drivers were not only knowledgeable about their beautiful city, but they also provided exceptional service and were readily available to show me around. Their passion for Siem Reap was evident, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city with their guidance. My experience at The Sarai has been nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of exceptional service, top-notch amenities, and a dedicated staff has made my stay truly memorable. I am grateful for the outstanding hospitality and will not hesitate to recommend The Sarai to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Thank you once again for providing me with a remarkable experience.

Siem Reap Palace Hotel & Spa

Siem Reap Wat Bo Area Siem Reap|0.31km from Georges Distillery Rum Tasting and Making Siem Reap
I had the pleasure of staying at the Siem Reap Palace Hotel – btw not to be confused with the ”Siem Reap Palace,” which is a different place entirely – last week, and at a rate too amazingly low to note here (though I'd suggest looking at what different OTAs are charging for stays there – some of the major ones are asking more than 2x as much per night as others). Siem Reap is definitely still in the early stages of emerging from most businesses being closed due to the pandemic, but OTOH this is precisely *why* now's the perfect time for visiting Siem Reap and the entire Angkor complex: despite Cambodia opening to tourism several months ago, it's still getting only a trickle of tourists, in large part because there are still only three flights a week there from ANY international airline, namely Singapore Airlines (which at this writing allows VTL travel thrice per week in both directions). Aside from a short flight on Cambodia Angkor Air to Phnom Penh, that's literally it Understandably, I was only one of a small handful of guests at the Siem Reap Palace Hotel. Its rooms – having seen little use the past two years – still look nearly new & are similarly spotless. They offer very well-designed guest accommodations, with very comfortable beds, for a fraction of what you'd pay at a ”name brand” hotel like Raffles or Anantara. Better still, it's located in – but away from the main tourism drag of – Siem Reap, within a 5-10 minute walk of some excellent restaurants and maybe 15 minutes to Pub Street (which I didn't visit, since I'd heard it was still mostly closed at the time of my visit). It's otherwise a quiet area at night. To be clear, the property is fairly small – and also situated on a fairly small lot – but it'd be difficult to find better accommodations for a similarly low rate. As one would expect in a SE Asian property, the entire staff had masks on during my stay, plus they insisted that guests do the same when outside of their room. Not at all a big deal for me personally. My criticisms of the hotel are limited to two, neither important enough to lower my rating. First, it has no lift, though there's an area near the main staircase where it looks like one will be added once the hotel is back to fairly regular amounts of business. While my own room was only a single flight of stairs up, others could involve another two flights – just FYI. Considering how much walking many or most Siem Reap visitors do while visiting sights at Angkor, this probably isn't a ”dealbreaker” for many, but still. Also, I had one misunderstanding there on my first morning, where the person handling breakfast orders was unaware that they'd started offering Western breakfasts as well – as I'd been told by Lili, the property's wonderful manager, upon arrival. The server didn't speak very good English, so I was unable to explain it to her, but I asked Lili to do so for the remaining mornings of my stay, and did so without further incident. Finally, I took advanta

The pool is amazing and has an awesome waterfall and bar attached. The rooms were clean though sometimes it took awhile for the staff to come in and remake the room. When they remake the bed they do not put fresh sheets so if you're staying for more than a week you may want to request an actual sheet change. The front desk is super helpful and will give you maps, suggestions, and what tuk tuk rides should cost. They are honest and very good at catering to your needs. Though there were a couple of blackouts during the day, they got the power back on quite quickly. The hotel makes an amazing steak/beef salad and it's a 5 minute walk away from an AMAZING Cambodian bbq place called Darany bbq 3. It's also about a 10 minute walk away from the market.

Stayed 7 nights in a one bedroom apartment in this well run hotel. Staff is outstanding and very well trained. Location is excellent being within walking distance of the old Market and Pub Street yet realitively quiet. We used the hotel's airport pickup for a cost of $33 each way. Having been to Siem Reap multiple times we used the same tuk tuk driver for the last 9 years but the hotel has quiet a few capable drivers available at all times. We had one evening meal and several breakfasts at the hotel. Food and especially the service was very good. I would prefer more western or ala carte choices but what they have is adequate. Two blocks away is the Muffin Man bakery and restaurant and they offer excellent breakfast choices. A few blocks towards the old Market is the Khmer Grill which has many choices at very affordable prices. Also just past the Khmer Grill down the alley is Wild which is a highly rated restaurant featuring Spring Rolls both fried and not fried. I would highly recommend. Down and across the street from the Muffin Man is a Khmer soup restaurant frequented by lots of tuk tuk drivers. We were the only westerners there but the owner speaks basic English and it was excellent. He charged us $1 for a bowl of soup with lots of meat in it. This hotel offered the best wifi of any hotel I have ever stayed in Siem Reap. It also has more than adequate air conditioning. We plan to return to Siem Reap for a more extended stay and The Elephant will be our first choice.

We are staying with this small boutique hotel for two nights we are love this place so much, The staff is extremely kind and welcome. They're planned everything to optimise our visit to the temple of Angkor. - the room was very comfortable and clean - the location close to the centre but quiet - the lush garden nice with refreshing pool after a day of sightseeing.

The whole said that there are some names in fact. 1 km from the old market, the surrounding environment is very general, not easy to be found. The bathing area of the room was inconveniently designed. The wash basin had to lick its buttocks and bent over 90 degrees. One of them still leaked. Service attitude is very good. In addition to the breakfast buffet, there is a single point for breakfast, which is included in the breakfast included. Do not charter through the hotel, expensive, and time is not reliable, the hotel knows my schedule, but does not explain to the driver, I have to communicate with the driver temporarily, almost missed the plane.
