Olivean Shodoshima Yuhigaoka Hotel

The hotel is located in Shodoshima. The hotel occupies a large area and the rooms are large. The service staff are respectful and welcome drinks are provided. The hot springs are very large. There are indoor hot springs and outdoor hot springs. The outdoor hot springs face the Seto Inland Sea. One side is soaked in hot springs and the other is hot springs. Looking at the scenery, it is the highest level of enjoyment. Dinner needs to be a buffet, but I used Shang Sheng. It is of high quality and has fresh fish. The room is also large and the wifi is good. I will definitely stay here next time.

Time flows slowly on Shodoshima. The greenery sparkles in the bright sunlight of the Seto Inland Sea. I chose the Olivean Yuhigaoka as my accommodation for my first holiday in a long time. I was really impressed with the pleasant service, from the way they greeted me when I checked in to the way they saw me off when I checked out. The room was spacious and I was able to relax very much. I want to come back to Shodoshima❗️

The hotel is located on the slope of a mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Tonosho Port in the center of Shodoshima, so you can't get around without a car, but you can relax and unwind here. The hotel is a little old, but there are no problems with cleaning. We chose the buffet for both dinner and breakfast, and were very satisfied. Dinner also comes with an all-you-can-drink option. We also had the hotel's lunch one day, which was also surprisingly high quality. Because it was summer, we were eating at dusk and couldn't enjoy the sunset, but this hotel is recommended for those who like to take it easy.

We stayed here for one night (four rooms) as a family trip to celebrate my 70th birthday. The banquet room we had reserved in advance was lovely with a view of the sunset, and the staff who looked after us at the banquet hall were extremely considerate. The four-person room used by my son and daughter's family was also spacious, and each room was comfortable with well-equipped facilities, amenities, and cleaning. We relaxed in the large open-air bath overlooking the ocean, and woke up to the song of the Japanese bush warbler in the morning. However, I think our stay would have been even more pleasant if the front desk staff could improve their hospitality, such as the way they explained things at check-in. Although not related to the hotel, the wonderful hospitality of the volunteer staff at Tonosho Port and Shodoshima tourist spots has left us with fond memories.

The best view, food, service, atmosphere, open-air bath, view from the room, and quietness are all perfect. I looked forward to breakfast every morning. I'm looking forward to summer next time. I'm looking forward to bringing my fishing gear.

The website said that it was a good deal, and my friend was really looking forward to it. We got back to the hotel in time to catch the sunset, but the sun was still visible until the clouds came over, so we didn't get a sparkling wine. My friend was pretty upset, and said they should have just made it a surprise and not listed it on the website. Of course, we bought the sparkling wine ourselves, but the hospitality from the hotel was something special. It was a shame.
