The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Especially the Restaurant Manager Mr. Bhandari and his team including Karun. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The team here truly knows how to make guests feel special. The room was upgraded , Himachali food was served to taste the delicacy of Hills. Extremely beautiful possible.

So we were woken up by the loud noises from our neighbour’s room at 3:30 AM. We called the front desk twice to complain about the noise. They called us back saying the security had taken care of the situation. However, because it was still noisy my husband had to get up and go to the next door room himself. When my husband got there the drunk neighbour got violent and shoved my husband. There were no security personnel there, only a waiter who in stead of making the drunk guy quiet was just clearing up after him. My husband had to walk up to the front desk in the middle of the night and the staff there instead of taking control of the situation asked us if we would like to be moved. Next day as we were checking out the manager came to speak to us and offered us a hundred “sincere” apologies. When we asked what had they done about the drunk neighbour they said they will address the situation later. When we asked him if they had moved the neighbour to another room he said no he was in the original room (translation: they let him finish his party and rest it out). They even assured us they would take action against the neighbour and would let us know but we haven’t heard a word from the hotel. I’m guessing all the action they have taken is offer a “sincere” apology to the neighbour about our complains. They haven’t even had the courtesy to reply to my husband’s review posted earlier which we know they’ve read because the good reviews posted after us have. As I stated to them as well the drunk loud neighbour was not their fault; how the hotel handled the situation and the humiliation it caused us certainly is

It was an unforgettable luxury experience at Shimla British resort. From the moment I stepped into the hotel the service was exceptional. The staffs genuine care for gas set a new standard of hospitality. It was one of the best properties in Shimla to enjoy the nature. I loved the room and its balcony views with green view all around. It gives you peace and serenity allowing you to snap some moments to rest and rejuvenate. I look forward to visit soon and being delight again.

Our experience at the Cecil Oberoi Hotel was a lovely one. Our room was so comfortable with the option of choosing your own pillows. The meals with a lot to choose from. Every evening main dishes on offer changed, which was nice as we got to try different dishes. A special shout to the staff - they were brilliant! The Restaurant team were accommodating. We were impressed with Nupur's warmth and excellent customer service. She made an effort to converse with us and even remembered the way I drank my coffee. I booked in a facial and received fantastic treatment from Nelubli who did my facial. THANK YOU to the entire Team! The Wildflower Hall - a part of the Cecil Oberoi Group was a great experience too. From the regal uniform of the staff, to the High Tea to the grand rooms with intricate woodwork, everything was so immaculate. The views from outside the Hall were stunning. Beautiful sunrise view in the morning and starry twinkling lights of Shimla city in the evenings gives you best views possible in the region. The place is better than the pictures can say - many sit out options to enjoy the views and weather - swings , toys and garden for kids - interiors are done giving old world charm with wooden ceiling and imperial staircases - food is good and service is prompt -staff is friendly and caring -rooms are spacious and well kept We had a good relaxing time at Aditya Resorts
