Atour X Hotel

You really need to pay attention to the details to appreciate Atour. At first glance, you might think the room is a bit small! But if you look closer, they provide alcohol wipes for the toilet seat, a trash can by the sink, and thick, large paper cups! If your room doesn't have a window, you can ask the front desk and they'll upgrade you to one for free. The breakfast is also very good, with plenty of drinks and pastries! The front desk staff are super friendly, and it's so close to Shenyang Station, really, really close – that's a huge plus, you can walk there! Once you really consider all the details, you'll realize it's definitely a great choice!

While the hotel is conveniently located near Shenyang Station's high-speed rail, the area outside is swarming with an alarming number of crows! You're constantly at risk of bird droppings falling from above, and the ground is covered in them. Upon check-in, the hotel staff asked for my passport and also insisted on a facial scan. I told them that I've stayed at many hotels across China and have never been asked for a photo, except for checking into scenic areas where a facial scan is sometimes required for continuous entry. No other hotels have ever made this demand. Only this Atour X Hotel at Shenyang Station had this requirement. About 4 or 5 front desk staff members all claimed it was mandated by the public security bureau. I explained that I could understand if their government departments required all foreign travelers to do this, or if all hotels nationwide uniformly enforced it – I would have no complaints. But the problem is that the government doesn't mandate all travelers and hotels to do this. So why is only *your* hotel requiring it? They even told me to call 110 to inquire. I did, and the police officer said he wasn't clear and would transfer me to another department who would call me back. That department then called me, and I explained the situation, but they also said they weren't clear and would have *another* department call me. I asked, if your country truly mandates this, why is no one aware? It's just one department transferring me to another. Isn't that extremely strange? And with so many online scams nowadays, your hotel wants a facial scan *and* passport details. This is an unreasonable request. This wasted our time as consumers and caused us significant trouble. So, who would want to stay at their hotel again? In the end, I believe their supervisor or manager intervened and said the facial scan wasn't necessary, and only then were we allowed to check in. They apologized afterward, but I felt it was already too late. The service at any hotel should make guests feel at ease, satisfied, and ensure a smooth check-in process, not create trouble and waste their time with unjustified demands. I will definitely not be staying at this hotel again.

A very satisfying stay! The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of amenities nearby. The room was clean and bright, facilities were well-maintained, and the internet was stable. It's perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or need to do some temporary work. The staff were polite and patient, making the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's directly opposite Exit A of Shenyang Station subway, which you can reach via an underground passage from Shenyang Station. This makes it super convenient for both business trips and travel. There are plenty of snack shops, fast food restaurants, and convenience stores right outside, so even if you have an early train, you can grab a bite to eat. The front desk staff were great; they offered me tea when I checked in, helped me refrigerate some food, and issued my invoice quickly. It's really good value for money. Highly recommend!
