Artel Xinghai Resort Shanwei Jintingwan

It's not easy running a business, so I usually don't leave bad reviews, but this stay was just too much to not complain about! My experience at the Poly Art & Star Sea Resort in Shanwei was terrible and completely not worth the price. First off, the room was severely lacking in amenities; even basic furniture was missing. The nightstand looked like it was hastily borrowed from another room, which felt incredibly dismissive. Even more frustrating, the TV was broken with a clear bright line running down the middle of the screen, making it impossible to watch. Trash accumulated by the elevator entrance and was never cleaned, making it seem like housekeeping was nonexistent. When it rained, I tried to borrow an umbrella from the front desk, only to be told they didn't have any, showing a complete lack of basic emergency supplies. The pool, which they share with the neighboring Hilton, was tiny – probably less than an eighth of a standard pool – and very unhygienic, with an uneven bottom and noticeable grime along the edges. To top it off, the staff were indifferent and only seemed interested in getting good reviews. Overall, it felt like chaotic management and zero service awareness. I will definitely not be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The room was spotless, and the front desk lady was kind enough to give me a free upgrade to a sea-view room. I could see the ocean and hear the waves right from my room. There was mosquito repellent provided, and once plugged in, there were no mosquitoes. You can walk directly from the hotel to the beach, which is very convenient. After coming back from the beach, there's a foot-washing station at the hotel, so the facilities are excellent. Hot water was also available at the front desk.

The hotel has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with thoughtful and attentive service. The rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped with comfortable amenities. Its convenient location makes getting around easy and quick. It offers great value for money, and I had a wonderful stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The room was spacious with a nice view and came with a mini-fridge. However, the soundproofing was incredibly poor. Not only could I hear people shouting in the hallway, but more importantly, I constantly heard footsteps and furniture being dragged around upstairs. This was a huge problem, especially traveling with a child... the noise really impacted our stay.

The hotel is super convenient!!! The car park leads straight to the beach, and the hotel itself is right on the beach. The kids had a blast!! The only downside is that the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, which is a bit inconvenient as we always had to order takeout. Other than that, everything was perfect!!

Very satisfied with my stay. The hotel has good facilities, a nice environment, and is very close to the beach. They even upgraded me to a sea view room upon arrival.

The views are great, and the service is excellent. They even provide slippers for children, and the staff are very enthusiastic, helping to carry luggage to the room. There are indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, and the beach is just a two-minute walk downstairs 🏝️. It's not cold at all, even during the winter holidays, perfect for playing in the sun. This place is ideal for family vacations with kids ⛱️.
