Hengshan Garden Hotel Reviews

Pretty easy to get to by Metro Line 1 Hengshan Road station Exit 1 - about a 10 minute walk. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a light ikea/scandinavian type color wood design. Both breakfast and dinner buffets are large with high quality food and plenty of options for all tastes. Dinner also offers hotpot. Another review described the hotel as an 'Oasis' in the middle of Shanghai with quiet tree lined streets and garden in the back of the hotel. That is a very good description. The immediate area is calm and relaxed with not too many restaurants or shops - but with the subway nearby you can easily move around the city. Wonderful Xujiahui Park very close by. Xujiahui park is definitely worth a visit, it is beautiful. We had a relaxing and enjoyable 3 night stay here.

It is kind to children and has no problem with foreign communication. The swimming pool is spacious and clean. I even want to introduce it to my friend.

The location is excellent. It is walking distance to a subway station. Nice surroundings. Lots of greenery, parks, nice buildings.

Great location for walking and feel the great Shanghai, easy access to metro link, delicious breakfast, attendants help lots because of plane delay.

Great hotel in a nice area. It's close to a park, local shops and a mall/shopping centre down the road. The pool is light and spacious. The garden is a wonderful little oasis to cone back to after a day in the city.

Third stay at the Hengshan Garden Hotel this fall. Only for one night before departure from Pudong airport. Excellent experience, the renovated rooms on the lower floors are comfortable, quiet and well equipped. Service (check-in, concierge, etc.) perfect, friendly and competent. Hope to be back soon!

We stayed at this hotel in 2019 and it was a rather dated facility. Pleasantly surprised it went through serious facelifts. The room was super quiet and both bed and pillows are very comfortable. We slept very well. Will definitely consider this place next time. BTW, we loved the robot that delivered our takeout to the room. Super cute.

I LOVED my stay! And I will stay again. It's a lovely area and iI recommend Cafe Di Wine as it's just a Walking from the hotel.

This hotel was recommended by a friend who lives in Shanghai. I am very happy. Great location and services. Room and bathroom are very clean.

The location is excellent in a quiet area at the end of Hengshan road. Room are big and beds quite hard Breakfast excellent but from a Chinese and European point og View. The coffee even Ok. There is a small garden behind the hotel..very nice . Its only 200 m to Hengshan subway station line 1. Staff friendly and helpful. One thing, some people do still smoke, we not provide them with a chair in the garden and an abstract...please.

We stayed 12 nights at the hotel during our recent trip to Shanghai. We are very happy with the hotel location and will definitely return for our next trip. The staff is very friendly, from concierge to the room cleaning staff. They are courteous and always very helpful, especially Carl Yu who helped us with our luggage on our last day. We highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back again.

Good location and services. Good facilities especially the swimming pools and sport Centre and bath spa.

The photo of the hotel was incorrect, ended up in another building, instead the one I booked. Really disappointing and hotel didn't give me any explanation.
