Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa - Adults Only (+18)

I am just back from a visit here and had such a lovely time at your hotel, I was upgraded to room 222 and it was a beautiful sized room, with a good view if you ignored the trees . Good size bed, with robes and slippers, the resort is not the biggest resort but has a number of restaurants, there is a good selection of breakfast and I also had dinner in the grill which was lovely as well. The sheet that gave out the times of everything on the desk was super handy, and the beach is super close. I also had a spa treatment and had the pool all to myself beforehand that was highly recommended. I would have liked to have been offered the chance for the upgrade as I wouldn't have of mind paying a bit more for a swim up pool maybe that's something worth offering. Staff were always helpful and on hand and the resort was very clean, recommended if your on the island

Out first visit to Mallorca, and first time staying at a Secrets resort and certainly did not disappoint. We were "wowed" right from the start. The entrance to the hotel is very elegant and welcoming along with the lobby area which smelt devine with lots of comfortable seating. Upon arrival as we had a "Preferred room" we were taken to the preffered check in area which was next to reception inside the preffered lounge. Everything about the hotel was explained very clearly and as we were early to check in offered drinks. We went for a stroll around the grounds which were absolutely beautiful, lots of planting, gorgeous trees, plenty of places to sit and just take things in. On passing thru reception we were then advised our room was ready. The guy on reception showed us to our room, which was actually 007!!! He carried our bags and showed us how everything worked in our room. Now our room, sea view with terrace and hot tub..... Wow, incredible !! The terrace had 2 sun loungers with towels and sun cream and a table with 2 chairs. There was a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers on the table in the room a really lovely touch. Having the complimentary mini bar in the room was great too, handy to grab a cold beer to sit in the terrace with and people watch. The terrace had great views of the sea, we actually saw dolphins one morning. Also in the room were slippers and robes, which is always handy. Toiletries were supplied along with toothbrushes, shaving kit, ect. On the first night after we had been out for dinner, a bottle of fizz and nibbles had been put in our room welcoming us, another absolutely fabulous gesture which shows the class of the resort. Also a turn down service is offered and water is supplied, I am not sure if it just in the room type we were in. The outdoor pool was heated and for a visit in March it was lovely temperature. The resort was quiet but there were plenty of loungers around for when busier. There is also a separate outisd area for "preferred guests" which is above the spa. Day beds which have towels on and a shower to cool off in, a nice area. Breakfast was buffet style, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, and hot choices which I noticed were different daily. It was a superb choice and the service was brilliant. Omelettes are cooked fresh to order and were delicious every day! Staff here were very pleasant and helpful. A very nice touch from Monika (guest relations manager) was a bottle of fizz and a complimentary massage on my husbands birthday. Totally unexpected, so was a wonderful treat for him (thank you so much for that). The preffered lounge is also great, plenty of drinks choices and snacks all day. So to summarise, we had a absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful resort, staff so attentive and friendly, we just can't wait to return, and I would definitely recommend a sea view with terrace and hot tub room! And the Piano bar is worth a visit, cocktails are amazing! Thank you once again and we can't wait to return!

Haven’t arrived yet and alarm bells ringing! Have booked 3 nights from March 15th-18th. Hotel looks good based on their website, not cheap at all but good selection of restaurants and bars…. So I emailed the hotel asking to book our favourite cuisine, Asian restaurant for our arrival day…hotel has emailed back saying you can’t reserve restaurants until you arrive…fair enough but also that the Asian restaurant is closed down (yet still featured on the hotel website). Good news is that it’s been replaced with a new restaurant…Pinxtos…sounds great…not featured on the website and not yet open. Why not update the website so I know what I can expect in an expensive hotel…the website isn’t worth visiting, magical mystery tour…to cancel or not to cancel????

Excellent 7 night stay At The Secrets Villamil in Paguera. We had a deluxe sea view double which did not disappoint beautiful views over the beach and bay. Room itself was large clean and with more than adequate storage. Bathroom slightly on the small side comprising of a shower and toilet. Bed was very comfortable. The pool was kept very clean and tidy lots of sun beds to choose from both around the pool and dotted throughout the gardens. Pool bar service was good but found the menu a bit limited so we ate out at Beewi every lunchtime. Also felt lunch was quite expensive at the hotel. The only other meal we had at the hotel was breakfast usual buffet style with lots of choice and nice balcony setting overlooking the gardens The gym was on the small side but adequate. The hotel has a great central location in the town of Paguera with all the bars and restaurants within an easy walking distance lovely town and had a great vibe to it We took a tax over to Port Andratx one evening easily got a taxi at the hotel about 15 euros each way. Enjoyed our stay very much and would return.

Absolutely lovely, the staff 10/10, food, entertainment were really great. Especially the Gohan Japanese restaurant! Delicious! Will definitely be going back, we only stayed for a few nights but the hotel staff made it so special for us! 10/10

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the hotel that I cannot recommend to anyone. From the very beginning, it was clear that this would not be a pleasant holiday. Two days before our arrival, we informed the hotel about a family member's medical condition and the need for a healthy diet. However, we received no response to our concerns, and upon arrival, there was no acknowledgement made for this. The check-in process went smoothly, and the staff appeared friendly. However, we quickly realized that the standard rooms did not offer the promised view of the historical center but instead overlooked noisy shops. Disappointed with this, we decided to upgrade to a sea-view room. Despite explaining our medical situation and the need for proximity to the elevator, our room was located far away. On the positive side, the staff member who accompanied us to the room was friendly. Upon entering the room, we were disappointed to find that it had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were hairs from previous guests, which was quite off-putting. Nevertheless, the view from the room was nice, as you could see from the attached picture. However, the state of the corridor carpet, which had been cleaned with a wet mop, was highly questionable, as evident in the attached photo. Our experience at the hotel's restaurant for lunch was a disaster. We arrived at 15:00, well within the lunchtime (which ended at 15:30), to be noted that there were only a few tables occupied. Despite this, we had to wait for 20 minutes until a waiter finally approached us with a dismissive tone, saying, "What do you want?" This unprofessional approach stunned us. The waiter carelessly threw the menus on the table and promptly left. To our dismay, the plates and leftovers, of the previous guests at the table next to ours attracted pigeons. We expected the waiter to promptly clear the table and remove the food to prevent this issue, but nothing was done until we left. We did not come to Spain to dine with pigeons. As we tried to signal the waiter that we were ready to order, he simply waved us off. Frustrated, I went to the bar myself to place the food and drink order. What came next was beyond unacceptable for a supposed 5-star hotel. We ordered chicken breast with potatoes, but what was served had nothing to do with quality or presentation expected at a five-star establishment. The dish looked nothing like what we had anticipated, and the taste was strangely sweet, almost unrecognizable. FURTHERMORE, THE CHICKEN APPEARED TO BE SPOILED, EVIDENT FROM THE EXCESSIVE SALT USED TO MASK THE BAD TASTE. I have attached pictures to show the deplorable condition of the food. Naturally, we could not bring ourselves to eat it, and considering our health concerns, we immediately approached the reception desk to speak with a manager. The Villamil occupies a prominent location on the picturesque Bay of Paguera. It’s ideally located for the beach (with direct access) and for the main street which provides a range of shops, bars and restaurants. On entering the reception there’s an immediate sense of calm which continues throughout the building and its grounds. We were given an overview of the property at reception and then taken to our garden room. The room was well appointed in every way- spacious and tasteful with a large double bed. I won’t itemise the facilities but everything worked efficiently and the shower was highly effective and always hot. The small outside area had a table with two chairs and a hot tub. This was a feature of the seven rooms in this location. I’m still not convinced that it’s a highlight although we used it once in our week’s stay. The mortar for the stone walls wasn’t sealed so was constantly shedding grit and, following a heavy overnight rain shower, the hot tube gathered lots of leaf material and grit. The access to the garden was a bonus and the grounds combined well established trees and pathways with more recently developed areas. The path in front of the garden rooms also provided staff access to a facility nearby so this impacted on privacy. I’m not sure of the occupancy rate when we stayed but it was always possible to find peace and quiet as there were numerous outdoor seating and sunbathing areas in addition to those adjacent to the pool. On a grey, damp morning I snuggled into a comfortable sofa in the Piano Bar to read and daydream and visited the adjacent library which was a intimate space. We very much enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the World Café which offered great variety and excellent quality. Attentive staff kept tables cleared and were always at hand to assist and welcomed guests in a variety of languages. As the weather was still quite mild it was wonderful to be able to start the day at a table on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. Whilst guests were respectful of one another it was a shame to witness bullying behaviour by a group who were very insistent on having their needs met rather than respecting the whole community and following the hotel’s policy. It would have been helpful to have a plan of the property as accommodation was varied and spread around the site. Whilst we understood the hotel’s need to recognise members of Secrets loyalty scheme and differentiate Club level, it was a shame to hear some guests referred to as “preferred” which almost felt as through the rest of us were less deserving. I am a World of Hyatt member but did not seek any special treatment. We found the staff quite aloof though always professional. At reception on late evening arrival, we asked if there were still restaurants open in the village and this wasn’t known. Similarly, during a major sporting event which closed some local streets over the course of three days, the reception staff were unable to offer advice on accessing taxi

Holidays in hotels at popular resorts is not our typical break but we wanted a short uncomplicated few days away after a stressful period at work. We came to this hotel and have been very surprised at how much we have enjoyed it. Everything is great, all the staff are so helpful , the food is superb, the pool spotless, the gardens lovely and we had a super room. I especially loved the breakfast buffet. The easy access to the beach is great. The town is slightly tacky but there are some gems of restaurants and in October it’s not busy and noisy. My husband and I plan to return.
