Ugiebrae House Bed & Breakfast

This b& b is absolutely fabulous… probably the best I’ve ever stayed at. The owners are lovely and very helpful in giving you information on ways to go to places , restaurants and bars. When we arrived we hade lovely cakes in the room. The room itself is well equipped… there is nothing you can want for. If we are here again… we’d definitely stay here !

Warm and hospitable, well equipped, comfortable room with stocked fridge full of goodies and with yummy cake made by Claire on arrival. Breakfast was delicious and Hans was the perfect host - helpful and happy to advise on places to visit. Not forgetting the adorable Dougie dog who came to say goodbye! Highly recommended and will definitely stay again.

Had an amazing stay located In seahouses good central location booked the single room good size nice clean and had everything in the room that I needed breakfast was nice the whole experience was excellent and I would definitely consider staying again it’s one of the best B&B I have stayed in

We stayed as a couple for 2nights for my husband’s Birthday.. we experienced a comfy room, a lovely breakfast; & an attentive thoughtful host. The home made cake in room upon arrival was a nice touch; room was lovely and clean and same with en-suite. We had a key so could come and go as we pleased.. Breakfast was lovely, pre ordered the night before and a great choice, plus yogurt and cereals and fruit from the serve yourself selection. Would recommend.. Thank you Hans also for the thoughtful Happy Birthday decs too!

Excellent stay here one of the best. Rooms lovely,breakfast delicious ,hosts charming and could not do enough. Location is a flat easy ten minute walk into Seahouses. A visit to the Farne Islands is a must. Highly recommend

Fantastic little B&B , we stayed in the King Room which had both a shower and a roll top bath. The room was spotlessly clean and very roomy. Lovely little touches like the cake left for us upon arrival and fresh milk in the fridge for the supplied tea and coffee. Excellent cooked breakfasts with quality ingredients. Great location , 5 min walk into Seahouses and 10 minute drive to Bamburgh. Highly recommended.

There is nothing missing in Hans' business model. He and Claire have created a BB, that would be hard to equal. When you stay in most, if not all BB's, Hotels, there is always something that makes you say, "I could do better than that", or usually, "It was OK, but if the staff were trained a bit better.......". I hope he never retires, as we will certainly return.

Absolutely wonderful B&B. We walked into Room 1 and were taken aback by how nice it was. Then we looked in the bathroom to see a similarly sized room with an old fashioned standalone bathtub and a separate modern shower cubicle. The owners could not have been more hospitable. We sat in the beautiful private garden in the evening which was delightful. A 10 minute walk into town, Netflix available on the room TV and a lovely home-cooked breakfast was just perfect. Did I mention the bed? We recently bought a mattress which has 4,000 springs but the one in Ugiebrae was even more comfortable. I wish I'd asked what make it is :-) Would definitely recommend you stay here.

Had a 2 night stay in this lovely B and B it is exceptionally clean , the rooms are lovely with little home touches and attention to detail . The bathroom contains lovely toiletries . Welcoming cakes on arrival in the room . The fridge is restocked when necessary and you only pay for what you have very reasonably priced . Breakfasts are freshly cooked and there is a nice variety and plenty of it ! Hans is very knowledgeable about the area and a lovely welcoming host . Nothing is too much trouble and we will definitely visit again. The Bamburgh Inn is nice for drinks and a snack , the Ship inn opposite is a must visit so much ship memorabilia. The Black Swan great for drinks and food , The Schooner inn good if you like live music which we do . If you are a fish lover the Swallow tail fish shop famous is just doing the corner from the swan pub . Tried out the Indian Brasserie fab meal and excellent service . Did the golden gate boat trip to the Farne Islands would recommend. On the whole 5 stars!!!
