Breakfast in the standard. If you are tired, it is comfortable to have dinner in hotels but it is to improve the restaurant offer that seems more focused in meeting the needs of groups or commits than individual customers. However, the structure is very recommended.

What can I say about Modica Boutique Hotel? I LOVED IT! LOCATION: GREAT! Easy to find, surrounded by many shops and restaurants. PARKING: Free Parking in a lock-up garage; private and very safe, with lift connected straight to Hotel. ROOM (Superior): Spacious, Modern, Very clean, Very comfy bed, Cozy linen, State of the art Shower, Relaxation at it's best! BREAKFAST: Spoiled for choice, everything fresh and delicious. Buffet Breakfast 'a la grande'! WATER MACHINE ON EACH FLOOR: Empty bottles provided for free cold or room temperature Natural and Sparkling Water HOTEL RESTAURANT: We had one dinner. Limited choice, however the food was cooked to perfect, presented well and we loved it. Very reasonably priced. STAFF: Polite, courteous, professional, and always with a smile. I highly recommend Modica Boutique Hotel, especially for those travelling with their car by ferry to Pozzallo, as it is only 20min drive. You will not regret it. The hotel is actually on the slope, and the place you navigated to is down the slope. The car can park on the side of the road for free, and the hotel is monitored. Ring the bell uphill to open the door to enter, pass a small flower courtyard and a long corridor, and check in on the second floor. Our room is on the fifth floor. The two bedrooms are separated. There is a separate bathroom. There is a large terrace outside. It is great to sit outside on a sunny day the next day. There is a door on the fifth floor to go directly to the upper city of Ragusa. You can swipe your room card, which is very convenient. In the morning, the breakfast was quite rich. The front desk of the dinner hotel introduced a restaurant not far from the city. In the 16th-century house, the dishes, environment and service are very good. In winter, there are few people, so we will book a meal during our meal.

The hotel is located in the countryside, 10 minutes from Modica. The hotel offers a nice view of the countryside it is peaceful and relaxing. It has a nice pool where you can cool down and relax. The rooms are spacious clean with a beautiful terrace. The staff are polite and friendly. The breakfast was varied and there was a lot of choice. A special thank you to the receptionist who was very friendly and witty.

A beautiful setting, isolated and quiet, with a lovely pool area. We stayed in a suite that was very roomy, with a large double bedroom and a smaller single room upstairs. Downstairs had a small kitchen corner (which we didn't use other than the refrigerator) as well as a dining table and chairs and a comfortable sofa. Sky TV with all the sports channels (in Italian, obviously) was a nice surprise and came in useful as we weren't lucky with the weather. There are no other restaurants within walking distance - it's a 15 minute drive into Modica - so we ate at the restaurant every night for a week. This was not a problem as everything we ate was DELICIOUS. Enough variation on the menu to eat something different every night if you wanted to, but the dishes we had early on were so good we had them all twice. The best pinsas I've ever tasted - a world away from 'pizza' in the UK. Very reasonable prices as well, including wine. We only spent one day by the pool (because of the weather!) but it looked as though there would be plenty of sunbeds available even if all the guests decided to visit. Most importantly, all the hotel and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which really made the stay as good as it could be.

We first visited Modica Palace Hotel last summer and loved it so much we decided to return. We soon found that things had dramatically changed. We were old the hotel had changed hands. Skeleton staff, dinner that used to be amazing but now on a set menu that never changes so for us with the half board would have meant eating the same things for a week. The staff tried to help but we were not enjoying our meals at all. There were only 4 people dining in the restaurant each night whereas last year it was always full and despite this we had to wait for hours to be served. On more than one occasion our food did not arrive as ordered and we sent it back. On our last night I ordered a steak well done and I received it rare at which point we just got up and left. It is obvious that there are issues at management level, cost cuts is the one standing out but what was unacceptable was the Manager's behaviour. When we asked for a refund on our meal he got angry and his behaviour was quite aggressive, he told us there were no problems with the hotel and the reviews were good. He was not interested in listening to our feedback and he just left while we were talking and slammed the door on us. If I was the owner of this business I would be worried. A good manager always tries to accommodate customers and listen to their issues even act out on them so that customers do actually go back. I have recommended this hotel to so many people but will no longer do that and definitely will not return. It's such a shame.

L'hotel si trova lungo la strada di collegamento tra Ragusa e Marina di Ragusa da cui dista circa 12 km. Per spostarsi, quindi, bisogna disporre necessariamente di un veicolo. La struttura è molto carina, con una grande piscina, la palestra, ristorante e bar. Dispone di ampi spazi, tra cui anche un anfiteatro per spettacoli ed un ampio parcheggio interno gratuito. Le camere sono spaziose con affaccio sulla piscina (la nostra) ed il letto comodissimo con topper. Tv 42” ed aria condizionata regolabile dagli ospiti. C'è anche un piccolo frigo con due bottigliette di acqua gratuite e, nel bagno, i soliti accessori. Veramente fantastico il buffet per la colazione soprattutto per chi (come noi) gradisce il dolce e la frutta la mattina. Abbiamo trovato, infatti, diverse specialità di dolci con crema ed alla mandorla e frutta di diversi generi. In conclusione, un ottimo soggiorno anche se solo per una notte ma ci sarebbe piaciuto poter rimanere per una settimana. Sconsigliato per chi non ha la macchina e viaggia con i mezzi pubblici.

I made buissenes trip to Pozzallo port to attend vessel. And vsl agent put me to Nautico. It is good place with good owner. Room was OK, with 3 beds and interesting painting on the walls. And also very tasty meals there. Also it was very interesting professional coffee machine there. It was needed some technical imagination to cope with it. Owner will replace it to modern. And his one could be used for museum. 😀
