Rarely are our expectations exceeded. They were during our visit. We had three units for our big family. They were large, clean and comfortable. The vibe was relaxed and the staff courteous and helpful. This was exactly what it said it would be. Nice beach. Easy access to everything. Very nice. Is this a super fancy place? It is not. But it was not trying to be. For anyone thinking of a relaxed stay, a good place to stay, I would recommend this resort.

Had the most wonderful experience checking into our room today. Gabi met us with a welcoming smile. She was knowledgable, articulate and friendly. Gabi explained the treasures of the resort including the spa, pool and restaurants. Kudos to her manager Roza who met us as well to welcome me and my wife Karen (who is very demanding as her name implies lol) Rosa has created a culture of excellence that is admirable and should be recognized by the Marriott executive office.

Great spot very good location, right on the beach. It's a full service place with restaurants laundry and all the amenities of a hotel. Marriott other properties are all around it including the younger crowd with drift pool next door.I would recommend.

My husband and I are owners in the Ocean Club, purchasing before it opened, so we have been coming to it for over twenty years. This is a beautiful facility which has been nicely maintained since it opened. Over the years, units that were originally only occupied by owners have been replaced to a large extent by non owners who have bought into the Marriott Point System, Their interest in maintaining the facility is not what the original owners had. They are only temporary guests who do not take an interest in maintaining the original atmosphere. Some abuse the property and tend to ruin it for others. Individuals can be viewed and heard being rowdy at the pool bar in intoxicated states. They can be loud and obnoxious. Children are sometimes screaming in the pools without parental supervision. Rules governing how many chairs can be set up under individual palapas are sometimes greatly abused. Sometimes guests can be quite rude to other guests i.e. being loud and/or playing loud music on the beach. These abuses occur and for the most part, are ignored by staff at the expense of others. So called security personal mostly turn a blind eye to guest abuse. Such abuse appears to be increasing lately from year to year and is a shame because, as originally stated, this is a lovely facility. Why Marriott management allows this to go on is baffling. It ruins the atmosphere for many.

Fabulous Aruba resort that exceeds the Marriott expectations! A beautiful location on the island adds to the associate's excellence and first-class accommodations. Wonderful experience and we are planning our next visit!

This used to be a nice place to come for families and people looking to have a relaxing experience in Aruba. Today, you cannot sit out on your deck or veranda in the evening due to the loud music coming from the Moomba Bar up the beach about a half a mile. That bar plays loud music, I called it boom boom music, until 1 to 2 o’clock in the morning. You cannot block the noise out if you are at the beachfront, even with your doors closed and a pillow over your head. My complaint about Marriott is they do not seem to care. They say there is nothing they can do. Well you would think a huge American corporation like Marriott would have some influence on the Aruban government to provide ordinances restricting noise after a certain time in the evening. Also, even during the day, it seems that the younger generations non-music has taken over resorts. All you hear is boom, boom boom. Does Marriott not realize that the majority of their customers are probably over 50 years old? Why are they catering to the younger generation with all of this non-music. This is all just so annoying to me when I’m paying so much money to come to this place and no one really cares. Aruba used to be a very nice island to visit for relaxing fun time. The motto used to be one happy island. Today they’ve changed some kind of crap and invites Yahoo’s from all over the world. Seems like the government of Aruba doesn’t care either. All they care about is money. Aruba has become a money trap just like everywhere else you would think you’re in Cancun or Tijuana when you’re in Aruba

This is the more adult side of the complex that houses the sales club. We went here for our required sales meeting with Marriott Vacation Club and fell in love with this side of the property. This is being renovated and everything is brand new. There is shopping onsite and a Mexican restaurant that has great food (Campeones ) if you’re traveling with friends or your spouse this is a great choice. If you need more family friendly options choose surf club.

Nice resort. The palapa situation is not easy--have to log on at 7 am and in one minute they're all gone. Not enough pool chairs in the shade. Otherwise, a lovely place. The rooms are up-dated, clean. Kitchens are decently stocked. We got a mid-week cleaning--which was appreciated. Most Marriott timeshare resorts don't offer this. No laundry in unit, but not an issue for us.

Good nice property, right on the popular palm beach. Close to restaurants, markets, water activities, snorkeling sites and major grocery shop. The property itself is nice and well maintained. One bedroom villa is spacious with full kitchen. Beach is wide, awesome, and clean. Shallow and lacking corals so not great for snorkeling but great for simply swimming or hanging out. The property is connected to Marriott sister properties, another timeshare (Marriott Surf) and a resort and ****** (Marriott Stellaris). You can use the amenities at the Stellaris which are very nice but not the Surf although you can certainly eat, shop and grab a gelato at the Surf if you wanted to. The beach in front of all three properties are connected and make a nice beach stretch. A downside with the resort is it’s strict toweling and regimented beach chair system. A family of four gets just 4 towels! You can’t ask for extra. It’s no big deal for some but for others used to generous Marriott properties, it would be a turn off. There’s a self service laundry on site but it’s limited and the machines are frequently broken. When it works, it’s great bc it’s free. Just bring your own laundry detergent. You can also ask housekeeping for some or buy them at the store at the resort. The resort’s gift store carries some grocery items like wine, water, juice, soda, snacks as well as the usual souvenirs, swimwear, floats, and even cables if you forgot to pack them from home. All in all a nice property.
