Hotel Torre was our base for a short family ski break in Sauze d’Oulx and it was a great choice for us all. The staff in every part of the hotel could not have been nicer or more helpful. Particular thanks to the lady who cleaned the rooms daily, doing an excellent job; and Sorin the shuttle bus driver who was kind and helpful, always available for lifts to and from the slopes. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, quiet enough at night and while the beds were a little hard, we slept well. We enjoyed drinks in the bar before dinner and the staff in the restaurant were lovely and good natured. We stayed on a half board basis. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, hot and cold; dinner was ok, the specially-cooked pastas were very good but the other options on the hot plate were a little on the cold side each night. There was a nice choice of salads however and the Italian rice and cheeses were great. It would I think have become a bit samey for any longer but for four nights, totally fine. The shuttle bus to Sportinia was an excellent inclusive addition and made that always-tiring trip from the slopes at the end of the day very straightforward. It would be better not to highlight the spa as somehow associated with the hotel. Hotel guests only receive a 10% discount so two hours in the spa is 18 euros per person. We enjoyed it on our final morning but it was really expensive especially as towels had to be hired at 5 Euros a piece and swim caps too had we not brought our own. In summary - we would return from a similar break, particularly because of the lovely staff.
