We had a lovely relaxing stay. I have stayed here several times as it is guaranteed to be far from the typical package tour hotel experience I that I dislike. The rooms need some some maintenance but that did not detract from our stay. The grounds are very nice and so are the pools. The staff were exceptional and could not have gone out of their way further if we needed anything , in particular Dercio and his colleague, Antao and Hernany. The breakfast is good and so were evening meals when we ate. The hotel was not too full with amongst others some surfers from Europe staying that have surfed all over the world but come back to Foya Branca often as they prefer surfing here than the Caribbean, Europe and all other surf locations they have been too. I hope to visit the hotel again.

We stayed for just one night and enjoyed our stay. We’ve wanted to do the hike to the lighthouse therefore we opted for this hotel and we did not get disappointed. The hotel seemed a bit-old-fashioned but this was no problem at all for us. The rooms were huge and the staff was really nice. When they got notice of the fact that the person responsible for the breakfast was missing, some others of the staff helped out and served breakfast within a short period of time. Another benefit was the transfer to the airport.

Flag Hotel Foya Branca is a good option when need to be next to the airport, as it is at about 1 or 2 km away, and the hotel offer a free shuttle to the guests. The room were OK, but not that great. The best part was the two swimming pools. as I was not very confident to swim on my own in the sea (big waves). The breakfast was good. A buffet with quite a few option to select.

Chose to stay to this hotel at the end of 2 weeks travelling around Sao Vincente and Santo Antao, despite the bad review. Shoes were stolen in front of our room, staff were very disinterested , more worryingly the manager as it took me 3 days to nail her down as she didn’t not think that clients being robbed was any of the hotel problem. Could have been outsider but could also be hotel staff. Leaves a very bitter taste. Door handle broken ( which meant no access to the balcony ) no one came to have a look ( let alone try to fix it ) despite asking twice about it. Gym advertised but not opened – despite asking about it after previous negative TripAdvisor comment ( equipment is supposedly about to be fixed, it is not ) No diving center despite the hotel advertising it. ( Dive tribe operates from Mindelo city center ) A ghost , insecure hotel ( despite being the only place with a security team we stayed in, the irony )

I really enjoyed this property. I needed to be near the airport, but also wanted to be on the beach. This place is perfect. The grounds on the property are landscaped very nicely and this made for a very pleasant atmosphere. The beach is of course beautiful and right there. Having a restaurant on the property was convenient too, as well as breakfast.

After being is this hotel 10 year ago and now I realized nothing changed, the location is nice but the hotel don't have any improvement from my last visit 10 years ago, exactly the same menus with any traditional food...only western and poor food...all the time I go eat at the restaurant in front of the hotel (VERY GOOD ONE) the rooms are old and with lacking of attention on the maintenance part, no soap on the bathroom,rooms are clean and the view are good, but we are talking about a 4 Stars hotel....I have been in 2 stars before better then this on at the moment. You can see the lack of investment over this year's...it's like a time capsule but not on the good way... Really need to improvement urgently...I many areas...have good activities like wind surf and diving, but besides that nothing more to do...this hotel could be top but is moving down slowly...it's sad to see all the lack of attention in all the small details...poor management will kill this place...wake up...at the moment new hotel's are growing at the city and on the side of this one...have a good location is not enough...the infrastructure need to be updated ASAP...

Het voordeel is dat er 3 zwembaden zijn en je binnen 2 minuten op het strand ligt maar verder is dit hotel erg gedateerd. Vanwege de positieve reviews heb ik dit hotel geboekt maar was best teleurgesteld toen we er aan kwamen. Ik denk dat de huisjes/'villa's' wat moderner/nieuwer zijn maar wij kregen een hotelkamer/kamer/appartement en deze waren erg ouderwets. Afgebladerde muren in de gang, deuken in de deur, een oude airco die flink wat geluid maakt, geen warme douche en een slappe straal. Wel waren de kamers schoon en is het personeel aardig en behulpzaam. Ontbijt en diner vonden we niet lekker; koude vis, koude friet, harde pannenkoekjes, vet gebakken eieren. Voor de liefhebbers waren er wel oke broodjes en lekkere soep. Als je niet zoveel geeft om het eten en alleen komt om te slapen, is het wellicht een prima plek. Tot slot; er is niks in de buurt dus huur een auto of neem voldoense contant geld mee voor de taxi (binnen 10minuten ben je in Mindelo).

le personnel de l'hôtel est à l'écoute bien qu'il soit adepte de la manière de vivre capverdienne à savoir "no stress" ; nous manquions de serviettes de bain et avons dû les réclamer à plusieurs reprises. Les chambres dans les bungalows sont très correctes, celles de la partie "collective" également bien que les couloirs et les portes mériteraient d'être restaurées, voire changer. les 2 piscines sont sympa mais il manque cruellement de chaises longues et de coussins. La salle de restauration est jolie et les repas ou buffet corrects sans plus. L'hôtel est un peu isolé par rapport au village mais la promenade sur la plage en contrebas permet un dépaysement total.
