This hotel was a great choice as a solo traveler. Location was spot on and easy for me to find when lost in the midst of shopping and eating in the plazas around. Security guards the elevator which is convenient and offers a sense of safety throughout the day. 3rd floor check in was a dream coming in. They have a small shop for your essential needs ( water, snacks, beverages. Check in process was easy. If you don't know Spanish, do not worry. Most people speak to you in English unless you start conversations in Spanish. I booked a ocean view king size and I was thrilled on how my room was. Bed was comfy, the view of the harbor was fantastic ( especially during sunset). Bathroom had an enormous shower which I took advantage of, most places are small so I felt like a king. The room and all throughout the hotel was clean. I was amazed how everything looked. Only thing that was a con for the room was how thin the walls were on the hallway. You constantly hear people opening and closing their doors. I am happy that is the only noise I heard, still it was quite annoying. Then again it is a Hilton, which hosts many people. Still for peace and quiet at night I knew when people left and when they arrived. Breakfast restaurant was beautifully set. The servers were friendly and accommodating. I was bummed that they didn't really offer a lot of food choices. Most food I felt also didn't cater to the Colombian culture. I felt I was eating a buffet a an American hotel. If eating cereal, fruits, omelette, waffles, and maybe one or two Colombian dishes is enough for you then cool. For me however, I found more choices outside from the food vendors sellings arepas, empanadas, and tequenos. Gym was minor, for a quick pump it does well, but mostly catered to people who just want to do cardio. It only offered one bench chair to use dumbbells. Roof top bar was incredible. Great view and service from Luis was great. He's very friendly and easy to talk to. I'm happy that he was there since his level of service boosted up stay at Hilton. I definitely would be back, the location is the best and the little things like the people who work there outweigh more than the minor cons. Great job everyone!

Let me start of by saying that the staff at GHL Hotel were VERY helpful. The minute we walked through the door we were treated like family. The check in process was very easy and quick. We didn't have to worry about our luggage the hotel handled all of that. The room were very clean. The rooms had a small sink near the entry door which I'm not sure why, a small closet, small refrigerator which included snacks and drinks (at a cost of course). I did notice that the hotel did not furnish face towels. Only had 2 towels and a hand towel. I did ask the front desk if any face towels were available and the response was we don't supply those. We were able to pickup a few face towels at the dollar store. The pool was amazing (kiddy pool and adult pool). The loved the location of the hotel. Was not far from the airport about 10 to 15 mins. The hotel is not that close to a grocery store but its a 10min cab drive. There is a small convince store on the property but will be limited on some things. The hotel sits on the beach shore which I took a beach walk every morning. The hotel restaurant was EXCELLENT!!!. The food was outstanding and very cheap. Although we did not know that much Spanish the staff was very helpful to cater to us and using our phone translator came in handy. I would have never thought I would have visit Colombia but now that I have I can't wait until I go back. This was a truly a great vacation. Thank you GHL Hotel Relax Costa Azul for a wonderful time. Spectacular, a very pleasant place, with daily schedules, large and comfortable rooms, everything very clean. 3 kinds of breakfast that are very generous (input choose wallon or sugars, have milk, yoghurt and coffee will, then come fruit and then the main dish chosen, every day different options) Without counting on the cantine's career that is sensational, very sympathetic and very competent, I don't remember her name but we took a picture with her so much that we like her care. at the reception that there was occasionally a boy and again a mozzi, Both more than the hostel has a very pleasant terrace with pool and pub. The best of all the hostels I have passed. I recommend vcs stay without fear, it's a very good hotel level.

Hotel location is not bad, breakfast is average, probably I still do not adapt to South American breakfast! However, it is much stronger than the United States! Hotel service is very good! Sound insulation is also OK!

Good hotel as in Colombia. Very nice and helpful staff. Everything according to the description. We got even a better room with sea view. Beautiful beach opposite the hotel. Around many restaurants, bars and shops, unfortunately also disco. This is the greatest nightmare of this place because Colombians, although they are very nice, are balding until the white morning. If you are looking for urban attractions this hotel is ideal. If you prefer peace, look for another hotel. The only minus hotel is the lack of drinking water and coffee service in the room.

I had an absolute amazing experience at this hotel! First off, ALL the staff is so friendly and helpful with anything that you need. Breakfast included in the morning is delicious and I was even able to enjoy it on their patio outside. The rooms are great, clean and cute with Air conditioning. The best part is the location! It is located just close enough to the beach ( less than 5 min walk) and on the side by the mountain so it is relaxing and quiet even though you are close to everything. I was able to do my work on my computer on the patio as I work remotely. They also provide you with a beach towel which is always nice. Plus the nightly price is unbeatable. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else while in Santa Marta, I would recommend to anyone travelling here. I can honestly say that this hotel made me love Santa Marta even more.

Great place, beautiful sunsets, clean, quiet, fantastic cocktails and food by the poolside, very attentive service, planning my next visit! I do not recommend the restaurant by the pool area, service wasn’t as good, do not recommend to stay on the beach, too many vendors, you can enjoy better at the resort’s beautiful tents, lounge chairs and Beautiful pools!
