Great breakfast, nice oasis in a convenient, walkable, urban setting. Sunset from the rooftop lounge area was an unexpected extra.

Marvao was such a cute mountaintop village with a castle.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable.
I would suggest asking for a room away from the road since our room was right next to the road and the tire noise was loud on the cobblestones as cars and trucks pasted by. There was no noticeable traffic at night so the room was very quiet then. The staff are excellent. Breakfast was very good. We stayed for two nights and considered our stay as a quiet retreat from our busy Portugal trip. We had a lovely time here.

absolutely breathtaking views from the terrace and our room and close proximity to the castle. The room was very comfortable. A very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Marvao is not suitable for those with mobility issues.

Located at the top of Marvao this is an excellent little hotel. Nothing fancy, just very well run by very friendly staff. The journey up is via very narrow streets so be careful, but it is worth it. Free parking very close by. Our room was well appointed with good air conditioning, lovely bathroom and amazing views. Breakfast is held in a small cosy dining room, or you can eat on the terrace. There is a ‘hot tub’ on the terrace for guests to use. Overall we had a great stay. Fabulous staff who were obviously very proud of their hotel.

Staff were brilliant especially with the kids. Plenty of options on the menu. The food was very nice. Was a bit cold sitting outside but blankets were provided. Would highly recommend as a dining option.

This small hotel is near the top of Marvao, just down the street from the castle. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and a decent breakfast is included. There's even a jacuzzi overlooking the stunning landscape below.

I wanted to stay for a week or more. This sweet hotel is located right next to a park and the Marvao Castelo. The room was wonderful, the breakfast was very good, and the view from the terrace was mind blowing. This a little shangra la, a place to park your feet, read a book, drink wine, all while being on a terrace overlooking majesty.

We had a night at Dom Dinis in the end of December and it was the perfect place to stay to visti Marvão village. The weather was cold and we had a misty evening followed by a beautiful morning made for stunning photos. The lady at the reception welcomed us warmly at the reception and showed us the rooms. The place has the local character and both the room of our friends and ours were heated, cozy, clean and spacious. The only issue was at the breakfast area in the morning that they had just four tables available in a rather small place which were occupied and needed to go back to our rooms are return a bit later. The friendly lady in charge (who was also the previous day at the check-in) tried to help us and suggest to us to have a breakfast at the veranda upstairs if we wanted breakfast immediately. We decided to wait instead. Choices at the breakfast were limited but still enough to start our day! Croissants were delicious! Dom Dinis was a great choice to stay at the beautiful village of Marvão! Just go for it!
