Good hotel but a little far from town and a little too close to the road. Avoid first category rooms which are not great but superior category rooms are great. Breakfast could be improved. The service is generally good. In conclusion I recommend this hotel 😃😃🙂😃

If you read other reviews this is a KNOWN issue. I would not recommend as they cannot provide a basic essential service such a running water.

This property isn't one of the fancier jungle lodges, but its proximity to the jungle adventures, ruins and San Ignacio are truly great. It's a small, relaxed place, but there is still a feeling of it being in the jungle despite it not being. The rooms are extremely spacious, well done and clean, as is the entire property. The beds and pillows are huge and very comfortable. We arranged massages and they were great. The pool is not the greatest, mostly because it doesn't have many chairs or the nicest furniture, but it's certainly an adequate one. The main 'house' has indoor/outdoor seating with a lovely deck and adjacent indoor bar. The staff was absolutely a joy. Julio at the front desk along with the others was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. And the food, drinks and wine...totally unexpected fresh, flavorful and creative. It was a 9+.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING WITH THIS HOTEL. THEY DO NOT REFUND YOU ANY MONEY IF YOU HAVE TO MAKE AN AMENDMENT TO YOUR BOOKING. OUR TRAVEL OPERATOR MADE CHANGES TO OUR BOOKING LEAVING US NO CHOICE TO MODIFY OUR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS. WE BOOKED VIA BOOĶING.COM WHO CONFIRMED WE WERE ENTITLED TO SOME (IF NOT ALL) OF OUR $500+ BACK. THE PROPERTY DID NOT REFUND US AND SHOWED ZERO GOODWILL. THEY HAD 4 WEEKS NOTICE TO FILL THIS BOOKING BUT DECIDED TO KEEP OUR MONEY.

Very comfortable beds and quiet rooms, loved the decor and AC was nice on a particularly hot day. Purified water was provided in rooms in am and again at turndown service along with a sweet treat. We would have loved to have coffee/tea option in room since we tend to be early risers. Service was fantastic, especially Cruz, Sam, and Julio. We loved the Mayan cooking class from scratch with sisters Clarita and Amrita. We also booked an excursion to Rio On, Big Rock and Rio Frio cave. Andee was our guide (self proclaimed "bird nerd" :) who showed us a fantastic local experience. Due to recent heavy rain we could not swim, so we made a special stop at Oxmul coffee farm which was great. Be sure to also take a walk to the onsite organic garden, lots of birds there in the morning. We thought onsite restaurant was good and we had continental breakfast included in price by booking directly. Cocktails were outstanding. Only downsides were location right on highway which was under construction, lack of in room coffee and higher price point.

We loved staying at Kaana! The resort is beautiful and staff are very friendly. Everyone made us feel special! unfortunately I do not remember everyone's name but here are a few memorable people: Julio at the front desk among 2 other ladies who were making a Christmas house at the lobby!! Sam at the restaurant. (very friendly, very professional) And Cruz at the bar. He's the best bartender ever!!

Lovely hotel and location but we stayed three days and there was no hot water. They were not capable of fixing it all stay and when I asked for some compensation I was told manager would be in soon. We checked out at 9.40 am. No manager. Still awaiting call 3 days later to discuss. TOTAL DISRESPECT OF AN UPSET GUEST BY MANAGEMENT.

My wife and I stayed at Ka'ana Resort for four nights as part of our Belize (and day trip to Guatemala) 10 day vacation. From the moment we made the reservation to the check out, the hotel was 5 bubbles all around. Great communication via email prior to the trip and 5 star service while we were there. The property is absolutely gorgeous set in the jungle of San Ignacio. The rooms are very spacious, super clean, great temperature control, and very very comfortable. The property is compact but spacious at the same time. You can explore a bit if you want (highly recommend walking through the organic garden) but also never have to walk far for anything you need. While the property and rooms are amazing, our favorite part of the trip was the amazingly welcoming and kind staff. We felt like we got to know everyone and everyone treated us like family. A few of the folks that made our stay extra bright (sorry if I'm forgetting anyone - literally everyone was great) were Ray, Fredy, Sam, and Loretta at the bar and restaurant, Santos in housekeeping, Kaylo at the front desk and Edgar who gave us a ride to and from town. I can't wait to go back and stay at the resort and reunite with San Ignacio friends!

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The casitas we nice and quiet. The grounds are well kept. There garden was nice to see, and you can taste the food was fresh. The only thing we didn't like was the mattresses in the room were not very comfortable for us. It was very soft and didn't offer much support. Everything else was perfect.
