The decor, and staff are amazing!!! I often travel to San Antonio for business, Estancia’s hospitality and ambience gives me the feeling that I’m on vacation!!! Several staff members know me by name and Efrin always has my hot tea ready for me when I arrive in the restaurant for breakfast - if the hotel doesn’t have the tea that I like, he has gone to the grocery store to get it for me!!! Additionally, he and the others greet me with a huge smile and they get my customized breakfast quickly so I can be on my way to work! I stay here every time I come to San Antonio and highly recommend it!

Typical American downtown hotel: close to scenic spots, no own parking lot (valet parking); small appearance (main services are upstairs)

The location is excellent, there is a small river going out, there are many restaurants by the river, the starting point of the boat tour is next to the hotel, there is a small supermarket next to it. At night, the bustling city is a bit like Lijiang, and it is very interesting to walk along the river in the drizzle. Every meal is chosen by the river, I like that feeling too much. At the breakfast, there is a duck to eat at the table. If you don't give her a bite, you are too clever little duck. It doesn't look like a hotel breakfast. The hotel is a star-rated hotel with a good standard. The elevator directly down to the river is slower, other services are good, parking in the opposite parking building, very convenient, compared to other hotels around the price is cheap, 31 dollars a day, it seems that there is an additional cost of 2 dollars.

I was double charged aside from the 43 dollars/ per night parking fee and when I called customer service, I was told that this was a split bill. The receipt that I got from the hotel states one charge but I was charged that price, plus another charge of twice that amount. Customer service refused or was incapable of explaining to me why I was charged twice. I suggest that you do not stay at this hotel.

The hotel is located in a great place. It took us less than 10 minutes to walk to the Alamodome to watch a football game. It took less than 5 minutes to get to the restaurants on the River Walk. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. At first, we struggled with how to use the room key on the elevator. Once we got the hang of it, it was comforting to know that the additional security restricts who can use the elevators. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have decided to stay there again next month.

Overall a nice property. Great river walk location and lots of on-site food & beverage options.
Valet is $50/ night (probably standard rate).
I was able to receive a upgraded corner room on a high floor, because of my Hilton member status.
Accommodations were okay.
Power outlets didn’t work.
Fridge wasn’t working properly either.
Shower floor had a weird shower matt inside, wasn’t pleasant.

This Hilton is surrounded by other big name hotels. However this hotel offers all the benefits of the Hilton brand but is a stones throw from SeaWorld. The hotel is very clean with an excellent staff. From the minute you walk in the staff is there to serve with a smile. They have breakfast (omelet's made to order) in the morning, and bar/evening food service starting at 16:30. I see there was a review that said the housekeeping was not adequate. They don't clean the rooms daily but if you need it daily just let the front desk know and they will be more than happy to take care of your request. I'm here for business and hade some requirements that the manager worked with us for rate/conference rooms etc.. and For me, this is a nice hotel and the staff really bumps it up a notch.

Excellent
DdbleadI am giving just 3* instead of 5* because of our problem checking in. We have stayed at many Holiday Inns & never had a problem finding our room. However this Hotel is an exception. Upon check-in we were told our room was # 315. The clerk said to get there drive your car to level C & then take the elevator to level 3. O.K. We park at level C, get our bags & proceed along a walkway to an outside door that goes into the hotel. As we approach the door it is opened by someone going out so we do not need to use our room scan card to open it. We find the room which was on the same level & try to open the door. Nothing worked. We call the front desk & the clerk says that she will bring us another card. We wait & wait & wait. Call the desk again. The clerk says where are you?. We say outside of #315. You were not there says the clerk. What ! Are we invisible? Anyway after much talk we & the clerk finally realize that we are in the WRONG Hotel. Yes,, the Drury Hotel shares the same parking garage & we are in the Drury.. We exit the Drury into the same parking garage & see another door around the corner. This one does lead to the Holiday Inn. After 30 min we are in our room. What a bunch of crap. On it's good side, we did have a full Hot Breakfast. Nice but small pool.
SS CortinaWe were looking for a hotel near our family. We received a suggestion from Trip.com to take a gander at La Quinta Inn & Suites Sea World. The price offered for our lengthy stay was unbeatable elsewhere. I read the reviews and had a few concerns, but you just never know. Now, what I am about to mention I do not say lightly because I travel extensively. We arrived at the hotel after an exhaustive travel day on the road. We were greeted by a young lady named Samantha. She was probably the best front desk clerk that I have ever encountered. She was inviting, respectful and welcoming to La Quinta. She asked how our day was and assured us that our stay would be as comfortable as she could make it. She explained everything and directed us to the elevators. As we walked away, she reminded us to call on her if we encountered any issues and wished us a good night. The hotel was clean and safe. I woke up during the night and looked outside the window to check on my vehicle. I found a security vehicle stationed at the entrance of the property. This was good to see and put me at peace. The only issues that I had was the coffee and the room. I found the coffee to be Luke warm to cold on two occasions in the morning. As for the room, the hotel was a non smoking hotel, but I swear someone had previously smoked in the room. The aroma wasn't too bad but I could tell. It was tolerable but unfortunate. You trust visitors to follow the rules but not all can be controlled. A huge thanks to the best front desk clerk Samantha who checked in on us during our week visit. Thank you!
GGuest UserI enjoy having a full size refrigerator, microwave and ability to cook if needed. I also appreciate the larger closet and drawer space to put clothes. The large walk in shower and larger bathroom is also nice. The beds sleep good and the a/c works great! Ruben the front desk person was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect for the event we attended at the National Shooting Complex. Thank you for offering a shooting rate so families can afford to stay at your hotel and support their children's extracurricular activities.
GGuest UserThe hotel was located well for our needs. Parking was good with ample spaces. Overall hotel was a little older on the interior, could use some updating. The elevator was usable but scary. Jerked to a stop at every floor and sat for a few seconds before locking into place with another hard jerk. Breakfast was your typical scrambled eggs, that could have been powdered initially, basic sausage breads waffles cereal etc etc, nothing special. Room itself was clean although dated. Air conditioner cooled and warmed well but was very noisy, hard to hear the television at times over it. Toilet seat was broken in the bathroom and barely attached to the base. Shower handle had to be manipulated to get it to the hot sitting. Overall I would give the hotel a 6 out of 10 for the overall experience.
HHallVanessaI was very pleased with the 2 Queen Deluxe beds. The room was very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here. Book non smoking and if you smoke. Smoke in your car or outside. There is a $25.00 per pet fee for pets which is nonrefundable and that's understandable and reasonable.
Breakfast is the usual waffles, cereal, etc. At least it's something. If you prefer a grand slam, take yourself to Dennys and buy it.
If you purchase the deluxe room you have a coffee pot ( the one in my room was missing a tube so it didn't work), the fridge and microwave worked great and I reported the coffee pot. Guests should always report issues. If you do not report issues then they will not be corrected so instead of writing a nasty review. Report the issue. Give the hotel a chance to correct the problem.
That is all have a good day.
