Caribbean Island Hotel

Situated right by the beach, what you pay for in abundance at this hotel is the location. However away from this we did have an enjoyable stay all round. Three rooms across six nights, one was a small double, the other two slightly larger apartments with kitchenettes and a balcony. All were clean, had working A/C and ample extras such as plates, cutlery and cable TV. Location-wise the hotel's entrance leads directly on to the beach and has a Presto (fast food) and multiple shops just a couple of minutes walk away. We expected noise due to the proximity to the beach, but heard virtually nothing each evening. The staff were helpful in many aspects from swiftly replacing the gas, to recommending tours or even just aiding in purchasing medicine to be delivered to the hotel. There is also reasonably priced soft drinks and water to purchase in the lobby alongside towels being provided for the beach free of charge. The rooms were cleaned daily and we had no issues with the cleanliness. The bathroom grouting on the shower did leak near the toilet, but this didn't impact on its use at all. WiFi, as expected, isn't brilliant, but you have to remember this is the same across the island. In terms of cost, it's not cheap and you can stay at similar places for less inland, however if you want to enjoy the beach and the beauty of San Andres this is a good little stay.
Aqualina Inn

The arrival at the hotel was a little disappointing because it was in a kind of beach/sleeve that is in pension and gives a bad impression. I admit that I would have been looking for another hotel if my husband had not insisted, but he reminded me that few hotels offered hot water on the island, and that's why we had chosen that. After checking in we went to the room, and I had a pleasant suppression: everything was very clean, organized and new. excellent air conditioning. super clean and charming decoration. bed with irregular and soft bed. The room has a coffee shop, a fridge and a pillow for anyone who wants to make your meals. There is also table and iron available to pass in the room. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi, stores bags after check-out and shower and towels. The shower and towels after check-out is super simple. It is on the outside side of the hotel and is super useful for anyone who wants to enjoy the day after check-out at 12 pm. The staff are super-solicited, and it is very well located, which allows you to do almost everything on foot, like going to the best restaurants, ports, shops and the Spratt Bight beach. there is even breakfast. The reception is available for free, free coffee, tea water, cream (to make coffee with milk ).

The hotel is very good, breakfast is good but you should keep it full until 10 a.m. when the service is finished. The hotel is very friendly and offers towels on the beach whenever you need.

1) Bad price-quality ratio. The hotel is really expensive, with the same amount you can enjoy a longer stay in a five-star hotel in Medellín. 2) They did not clean the room properly. There was still dirt on the floor and the hair of someone on the pillow. They are also clumsy in this regard. One day they did not give us towels at all, and we had to ask 2 times in the reception to get one. Sometimes they also did not give us new soaps. 3) The breakfast was kind of sad, and if you wanted more of something because you did not want the others, they always became aggressive and resisted. We also once asked for another cup of coffee and they ignored us. In other words, the breakfast was not a buffet, but rather a rationed meal. 4) Check in was slow. 5) Employees were not so friendly. The only positive sides are that the AC was working well, and that the location is central.
