Sol Caribe San Andrés All Inclusive

My experience was not good here at all. It says they speak English well they don’t. If I was in a medical distress I would be in a big trouble. You need to speak Spanish here. It was only Spanish speakers. I have never had a hard time to ask for anything in Cuba and Dominican Republic because they try their hardest to understand. Here they just keep going. This felt like an old hotel with not so great Aunty buffet at someone’s reunion. The food was not hot. There was no butter at night for your bread. The only good thing about this was that they had fresh fruits. They had maracuya liquid for your drinks, and the AC in the room was cold. That’s it. There’s only one pool and it’s dangerous to step in as it is slippery and nothing to hold on when you first step in the pool. I had never encountered a pool like this one. They close it at 7pm, weird again. There’s no AC when you eat at all. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I paid big dollars for it. The show is in Spanish only. It’s like I was not welcome. I told them it was my bday 45 to celebrate and they did not care one bit. I wasted my money pretty much! There’s a fridge in the room but nothing in it. As an all inclusive resort there should be at least water bottles but no you have to buy those. There’s no comfy chairs to sit in its plastic chairs. There’s shower head needs to be cleaned big time. Save your money and get a cheaper hotel and eat out. It’s not worth the buffet.

I was at Sol Caribe San Andres Hotel, from May 19th to May 24th to celebrate there the "symbolic wedding" of my daughter (Colombian) with her French boyfriend/husband; we booked many rooms for the international guests -French, Brasilien- , the Colombian family and friends, as well as the CLUB DE PLAYA SOL CARIBE for the "wedding event" , the tour by the CHIVA , the round transport airport-hotel-airport and a "brunch" the day after the wedding event; everything run PERFECT!; excellent client service, excellent attitude, the restaurant and the food was really good, tasty, fresh and diversed !; the rooms are very clean, with confortable beds, excellent air conditioning, warm watter and quiet !; the best of this experience!: ALL! THE STAFF, their attitude , their professionalism, especially : DENISSE BROWN/RESERVATION, ERIC ROBLES/TRANSPORT AGENCE SERVICE and wonderful ELIANA CORREALE/EVENTS . Many many thanks! P.S: the international guests were so happy and promised to come back to Colombia, San Andres and this excellent hotel !

The room and bathroom were dirty, they didn't even pick up the trash left by previous guests. I left a sign on the door asking them not to enter the room, but they simply ignored it and entered, made the bed, and changed the bath towels without permission. The barman at the pool bar, a man in his 50s, was completely rude and ill-mannered, treating all the customers poorly as if he were doing us a favor, but no, he was working to serve everyone with courtesy and respect, otherwise, find another job! The food was okay, nothing extraordinary, for the price of the all-inclusive hotel, it could have been better. There are probably better hotels in San Andrés with better service!

Horror hotel. The restaurant makes me sick, food is absolutely disgusting, no taste, mainly stewed, chewy meats. I asked for salt and they said they don't have it. There's a constant smell of chlorine and sewage in the restaurant. There's a cantine atmosphere, no music, everybody just slamming chairs and cutlery. Makes you want to go away ASAP. Many hotel guests are very uncivilised and the staff doesn't say anything (this morning a waman was sitting with her child puking right at the entrance of the restaurant for more than half an hour, this is how breakfast guest were "greeted"). Check in took forever, they don't give you any information, you have to ask for everything. To go to the beach club of the other Sol Caribe, you have to organize and pay the transport yourself, there is no shuttle bus.

I really enjoy my stayed. Staff was friendly, food and location are great. The furniture could be updated but that didn’t ruined my trip.
