The business trip area is located on the German border, so I stayed in Salzburg to use Salzburg Airport. The location of the hotel was close to Mirabell Park, so morning walks were possible. The hotel reception was luxurious, and I was impressed with the voucher and welcome chocolates to use the cafe. It was nice that the bathroom was also kept clean.

When I was looking for a hotel for a 1-night stay in Salzburg, I stumbled upon the listing for the Hyperion and took a chance. I wasn't familiar with the Hyperion hotel brand and didn't know much about Salzburg. Now, I have fallen under the spell of both the hotel and the city. The Hyperion is a fairly new hotel and it is in pristine shape. The room is rather generously sized compared to most of the European hotels I have stayed in thus far. The bathroom was particularly good -- with an American-style shower that featured both a handheld wand and a rain shower head. The separate water closet was a plus. The technology in the room (especially the lighting tech) is impressive, if not slightly confusing. Nice touch to have the Nescafe machine and the Mozart chocolates. The bed was very comfortable. The location, next to Mirabell Gardens, was great. The hotel staff was helpful. We arrived early, and the front desk gave us tips on how to spend our afternoon, drawing out some local attractions on the map and suggesting we get a Salzburg card (we already had them). They also gave us a recommendation for dinner, but we were turned away at the restaurant, which was full. In stead, we dined at the restaurant in the hotel, which was quite nice. Service was solid. Breakfast is a tad expensive, but they do offer a wide assortment of breakfast items (hot and cold) as well as eggs made to order. Champagne was also available for mimosas. Nice touch.

This hotel can be said to be the best in Salzburg at present, and the location is acceptable. Although it is a member of Leading Hotel, it is not a large hotel chain brand. It is understood that this historical brand only has one in Vienna and Salzburg. However, its own Café...coffee with soy milk is relatively good. When paired with soy milk...the taste is like chocolate-flavored mocha coffee, which is very impressive. The hotel doorman, concierge, and front desk are attentive and courteous. What is most worthy of praise... and what many European hotels cannot do is that the service is relatively humane. What I really want to praise is just the service, because the facilities are relatively far behind luxury brand hotels in Asian countries. In particular, the fabric used in the bed sheets and quilt covers can be said to be quite rough, not on par with international brands such as Four Seasons and Mandarin. Fabi. Sorry, if you really want to find fault...that's all. To be honest, the price is not cheap at all, and sleeping for a whole night...if you don't even have comfortable sheets and quilts...it might be really uncomfortable. The dinner service in the restaurant was still up to standard, but what was strange was that...the cup of coffee was very different from the Café's service. I don't think this was an accidental exception. In terms of breakfast presentation... mediocre, nothing noteworthy at all.

I have lived in a more satisfactory hotel in a multi-country tour of Europe. It is a mountain road of a small castle. It is very good to park. The hotel has its own small parking lot. After entering the door, the staff welcomed us warmly and let us sit in the bar with free welcome drinks, the hotel is said to have existed in the 14th century and has been renovated and well maintained. There is a nice fountain in front of the gate that feels aristocratic. There should be more than 20 rooms in total, the room is clean and warm, the view outside the small balcony is the entrance garden. There is also a welcome fruit plate and private welcome letter in the room. It is worth mentioning that the restaurant in the hotel is a star Michelin, the food is delicious in many Michelin restaurants, in addition to the dishes there are many appetizers and petit fours desserts. Although the hotel seems to be general, the more you live, the more flavor you feel and the feeling of home. From the front desk to the restaurant to the cleaning staff are very warm and friendly. The bathroom has a rack of toasted towels and clothes, which is automatically turned on every night (also remember to open the switch yourself!), the clothes must be dry the next day. Hotel location is excellent. Within a 15-minute walk from the Old Town of Salzburg, it is easy to visit the local sights of Salzburg, and the Salzburg Main Station can be reached within 10 minutes, making it easy to get in and out of Salzburg. Most importantly, the hotel is right next to the Mirabell Palace, which is also a place for a day trip to various nearby lakes starting from Salzburg to buy tickets and get on and off. You can go to Hallstatt for a day trip. Half-day tour of St. Wolfgangsee, Half-Day Tour of Music, etc. There is an Asian buffet (13 Euro/guest) opposite the hotel. If you like Asian food, you can solve it. It is recommended to walk (less than 10 minutes) to eat near the main train station. There are many choices, special features and not expensive. It is recommended to go to the Spanish restaurant on the right side of the train station. Tapas and lemon juice iced tea are great.

The main staple of breakfast is bread. However, there are a lot of boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. The waiters are not many insiders or Chinese. Figure 1 2 3 is the location of the hotel, and Figure 3 is the location of the train station in this place. If you go to the train station, it will take 15 minutes.

There are two properties: one is a castle, the other is not. Plan yr expectations accordingly. We booked a double room in the annex property for three nights. This property is tired and needs an update. Our room (221) was in the attic and resembled a small Hampton Inn/Howard Johnson room from the 70's/80's. The furniture was IKEA-like and minimal. There was no refrigerator or minibar (no wine/bottle opener) in the room and they ask you to refill your complimentary bottle of water from the tap in the bathroom daily. Three nights of this (with breakfast - I'm coming to that - ) cost us 560E. The bathroom was updated and had an excellent shower. The accommodations were adequate, but the property (including the small, drab lobby) has not been updated since at least the 90's. The front desk staff was not particularly helpful or friendly (and I speak German), but we didn't have any issues during our stay. There was no Austrian Gemütlichkeit. The town of Salzburg is a brisk 20-minute walk from the hotel. There are no reasonable restaurants in the vicinity. An Uber was 14-16E when we looked at taking one from the hotel to the centre of town. Now to the other property: breakfast is served in the castle and is a very different experience than the annex. The staff is 5-star and cater to yr every wish. We would like to recognise Marianna and Gunista for their extraordinary service during our stay. The breakfast itself is very good and the selection is excellent. I have to say, that we did not appreciate the ”woke education” that was made visible in every corner of the castle. It is not the venue, and we did not come to the property for a lesson in atonement. It was not a bad stay; it was not a great stay. Adequate at what we perceived as a high price. Again, we hope our review will help guests set their expectations for these two properties. You decide!

I arrived at 1am following a train from Vienna and had no problems at all my key was left on reception and room easy to locate. Beds in hotel are comfortable and a good shower in the room. We booked a room for our family for 4 days from Friday. Unfortunately, the room provided was very dirty and smelled strongly to urine, see photos. As well, the walking distance from the room was dirty. The local staff was able to offer us only a cleaning, since there was no equivalent room available at that time. As we could not imagine ourselves as a family to spend our time in Salzburg in a room which may be insufficiently cleaned and still smells to urine, We rejected and requested full or partial reimbursement of booking costs. Unfortunately, the staff was not capable of making decisions and referred to us to management, which was no longer to be reached on Friday afternoon. We then immediately wrote a mail to management, in which we pointed out the misconduct and requested a reception in the booking costs. On the next Monday, after we had written a reminder email, then the rejecting answer from the management with the cancellation of our room came over the full amount of booking. They thought they could not meet us at the booking costs, that was not their “solving path”. We went to the hostel again Monday morning. This time someone from the management was present. This was not intended to meet us again. It even claimed that they had offered us an equivalent room as an alternative to cleaning on Friday and that is why they couldn't meet us! We wanted to see our paid room again, but this was already forgiven elsewhere! This is why they have doubled the cash, triggered by their bad services! From the customer perspective, it is very difficult to understand, especially since the management would have never expressed regretful comments about the situation or even apologised with us. With the experience we can not recommend this hostel to anyone!

Our family of four stayed in a superior apartment for three nights. The hotel was a pleasant experience. We loved having two bedrooms and the rooms were nicely undated. Our room was on the top floor with views of the street and graveyard. Most hotels in Europe don’t have air conditioning so the multiple windows offered nice cross ventilation. We closed the windows at night and they were soundproof from street noise. Luckily the hotel borders a pedestrian only area so there are no vehicles driving by. Other pros include: - great sitting area in the lobby - awesome coffee machine to make a variety of drinks at any time - complementary fresh baked croissants and light sandwiches in the morning - two outside patios - on a pedestrian street with plenty of great restaurants and cozy bars The location was fantastic and we had a pleasant stay. I’d stay here again without hesitation while in Salzburg.
