Four-star hotel? Hahahaha NO. The pool and gym area staff were helpful and attentive when we asked for help, the food and service were very good in the restaurant, and housekeeping was excellent. But whatever corporate entity runs runs this hotel clearly cares only about squeezing the maximum amount of pennies from its guests, and not about truly caring for their comfort. There are so many things I could snark on about this hotel and its upscale facade, but I want to focus on something important to me: accessibility. Sensitive to smells or have asthma? This hotel does not care, but instead seeks to monetize even the air you breathe by pumping its signature scent into all hallways and common areas, and then selling you the scent. Do you have cognitive issues or anxiety that mean that your brain needs quiet sometimes? This hotel has insipid, b-list electronic pop playing at all hours, everywhere: the lobby, lounges, halls, pools, and guest floors, inside and out. Are you in a wheelchair, use a walker, recently break your foot? There are many places on the grounds you can’t get to easily, or at all, including the rentable pool cabanas. Nobody helped the member of our group who had a walker with their luggage when they arrived. Nobody helped any of us with our luggage. And hahaha the robes they “provide” for guests? Hahahaha, I will attach a photo. If you puncture the bag, don’t wear the robe, and leave it behind: $55. This is just rude, unwelcoming, and not in line with what I expect from a four-star hotel.

Worst massage ever. We were told to arrive early and use the whirlpool only to find out that it hasn’t functioned in months. The appointment was at 1 PM and the masseuse arrived at 1:30. She was not aware of the appointment. Finally, there was construction on the floor above me with hammering and swearing. The masseuse kept putting her hands on my ears to muffle the sound. Will never go back

Lovely hotel, second visit, this time solo for a funeral. Staff lovely, food very good. But the only problem is the extras. You pay 55 dollars for even opening the bathrobe package and 3 dollars for bottle of local water already in the room. So while you are made to feel welcome, the added extras beyond an effective fire lighter log, you pay for!

Deceiving, not a 4 stars hotel!

My stay from October 11-13, 2023 was good. The room was clean and comfortable! Staff was awesome at the spa and thermal pools were relaxing. Customer service from the front desk was horrible. The biggest complaint I have is that there was no parking available for registered guests on the night of October 11 due to an event that was being held at the hotel. Unfortunately, my only option was to park underground for a fee of $20. I would suggest that in the future the hotel assign reserved spots for guests who are paying to stay at the hotel as that is included in the price they pay to stay unless they choose to park underground. It was unfair for me to have to pay an extra $20 that wasn’t budgeted for when I planned my trip. Also, the manager who I sent an email to did not even acknowledge it which is extremely poor customer service When I brought the parking issue to the attention of the front desk staff I was brushed off and told I had to pay. Customer service is lacking at this hotel.

The Good: 1. Very comfortable beds and pillows. 2. Very good dinner, breakfast and coffee - the breakfast staff seemed on the ball more than the rest of the staff. 3. The pool area and hot tubs were lots of fun. 4. First 2 coffees are free - Nespresso (not everyone's choice) The Bad: 1. Thin walls - Especially the hallway - could hear everything!!! and hotel doors slamming when people walk out of them - kept me awake at night 2. Aromatic sprays - sat in the lounge area by the bar with friends, wondering "what is that smell" none of us wearing perfume, "what is that smell?" discovered it was a automatic spray being let out periodically. It bothered a few people we were talking to. What happened to the "No sense is good sense" rule? 3. Less than cordial staff / not having services in place to make your stay more convenient - I had a mani/pedi at the spa - service was great there - shout out to Ariane. The mani/pedi was paid for in advance, but, of course, I wanted to leave a tip. I take out my debit card the receptionist says it has to be cash only (it gets put into a little envelope). I didn't have enough cash so I asked where the bank machine is. She said she didn't know (?!!) I had to ask, why can I not pay for it in a different way, she said their "system" is only programmed for their services and nothing over and above (Really? A service that thrives on tips is not set up for tips??!!!) so I walk to the front desk to ask, I was told No. There is no bank machine anywhere in the hotel! I was told there is one across the street in the mini plaza, well, it was pouring rain and I did not have a raincoat, boots or umbrella so......... very unimpressed. I ended up borrowing cash from the other couple we were with. 4. Bathrooms: where do I put my shampoo bottles and soap when there is no shelving in the shower? Where do we hang our damp towels (that we plan on using again tomorrow) when there are no hooks or racks? The toilet was so close to the sink that the toilet paper holder was literally in front of you, therefore knocking it with your elbow when you go to stand up. The counter had no room to put out toiletries. 5. No dresser to store my clothes for the weekend 6. The fridge was so tiny, we couldn't fit a plate or any of our snacks we brought with us. 7. Only Nespresso available in the rooms. Too strong!

As a resident of the Laurentians I’ve been a regular customer of the spa for years, usually booking a massage and pedicure several times throughout the year. This year I booked a 60-minute pedicure, and clearly explained to the receptionist that I was removing and redoing gel. I asked for the price, 85$ plus tax, and noted it in my calendar. The girl who did the pedicure, as well as the trainee who stayed to observe were both very pleasant, and my polish was good, but…although I didn’t have much to sand, the technician didn’t even bother to try smoothing out any rough patches on my feet, which is part of a standard pedicure treatment. 45 minutes later they were done, and because there were two girls there, I left them 20$ for their time. I went immediately to the desk to pay, and the receptionist tried to spring an additional charge on me for ‘dissolving’ the previous pedicure’s polish. Seriously! I’ve been getting more thorough pedicures for a fraction of the price forever, and this is the first time anyone ever asked for more money for the 5 minutes it took for the technician to file off the polish on 8 toes, apply cotton swabs for a minute on 2 toes, and then file off the residue. I flat out refused to pay a penny more, not even having taken into account that they didn’t honour the entire hour allocated for the pedicure. One hundred dollars plus a 20 dollar tip for an ok pedicure, and they still wanted more. This is the second time they’ve done this. The last time I booked a massage I was given one price over the phone, and after my appointment they tried to charge me more for a weekend rate, when they knew I was booking on a weekend when I asked. What a way to lose a good customer.
