I visited for an epilepsy meeting. When we checked in we were told some rooms had no hot water. For 4 nights I had no hot water and for the last night of my stay there was no running water at all. Room was very dark and dirty, there were piles of dust in all corners and broken glass in 1 corner. Location is beautiful and the lake / beach are stunning. Unfortunately the quality of the room was poor and did not meet my expectations.

With fantastic view over the forest and lake from the bedrooms at the back, the hot tubs and the terrace, the location was quiet and beautiful. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Meals at the restaurant were good and staff very friendly and efficient. Rooms in the basement (sous sol) were not accessible by lift. The shower in the room was erratic and the coffee machine was not working, although both were reported to Reception. There appeared to have been some mis-communication over the need to wear robes to enter the hot tub area. We were told at Reception that as robes had 'run out', we could not enter the area on one of our two days there. Apparently towels would have been sufficient. Despite these unmet housekeeping needs, we would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

The hotel needs to be renovated. It’s very old, in our room there isn’t hairdryer and when you provided it was very poor quality. The spa was unavailable with low personnel so it was impossible to use services. The cleaning of the rooms was every two days : level not acceptable for the pricing applied. In general the bathroom looks like very old and poor experience

Definitely a place to visit and stay at in the Mauricie area of Quebec! Beautiful rustic lodge, amazing mountains & lake views, lots of fun activities and great staff. Will go again for sure!

Excellent dining room servers, especially Mathieu! After the first breakfast, my decaf arrived before i even asked for it. Kitchen also very good. Beautiful spa included. Private sand beach. Only negative was that hot water took over 5 minutes to reach our room (presidential suite) so i only had cold to cool water while showering.

Stayed at this resort in early September 2023. It’s a beautiful log resort with rustic vibes and AMAZING views! We went just before the trees started to change colours but the view in the Fall season would be spectacular. The resort is located up high in the Laurentian’s so you get a panoramic view. ACTIVITIES: There’s a Geospa onsite with outdoor hot tubs, cold plunge pool, an indoor pool and saunas. They also have a private beach area with non-motorized sports you can use for free in summer season. Note the resort is much higher than beach level therefore it requires a trek down and back up. They have stairs/boardwalk amongst the trees that lead to the beach, you can also walk around the resort on the road but I haven’t taken that route to comment on it. I assume if you have mobility issues, you could speak with front reception to see if transportation is available. There is a bathroom at the beach and a few picnic tables. Beach chairs were available but not many shaded options. I suggest bringing everything you need if you plan to spend a good amount of time at the beach to avoid the back and forth (sunscreen, snacks, water bottle). Keep in mind the rooms don’t have tv’s so consider bringing a tablet/laptop if you wish. They have 1 shared tv room for guests. There’s also a games room but you must buy tokens to play. The resort offers many activities you can pay for but we didn’t do any, so I can’t comment on that. PROS: - Friendly staff, bilingual in French & English - Restaurant and bar on site - Food was good, we booked an all-inclusive package that included breakfast and dinner. Decent menu variety and they tried very hard to accommodate dietary restrictions. - Breakfast buffet had a good variety of options - Nice clean room with simple decor CONS: - Our stay fell during a heat wave and the resort surprisingly did not have A/C - We had a ceiling fan in our room but it was not enough to cool down the room in +40 Celsius weather. - The hot tubs at the outdoor spa were all very hot, except the cold plunge pool that was about 13°C. Difficult to find a happy medium to cool off comfortably in a heat wave but it would be fine during other seasons. In conclusion, it’s a lovely resort and great place to vacation. Heat wave aside, we did enjoy it and would most likely return.

Great location. The New Year’s Eve dinner was very well organized. Both food and entertainment. The Geos spa was very nice. Try to get a room with a view of the lake. Hiking trails around the hotel are worth exploring as well

Coming to Sacacomie has become a family tradition. At least once a year we come for a few days to get the spa exparience. We enjoy the cozy log cabin style, outdoor spa and good food and drink. Excellent, pleasant staff, who are very professional, and took care of all of our needs. The hotel is in a great location, with amazing views, a winter wonderland!
