The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort, New Chandigarh

The hospitality was outstanding, with special thanks to Aastha, Prabhjit, and Ravi who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The food was amazing, and a big shoutout to Chef Saurabh for his spot-on recommendations. The serving staff was aware about our food allergies, ingredients and proactively checked with the chef whenever we had questions. They even offered fantastic recommendations for our children, ensuring everyone had a safe and delicious meal. On our last day, they got us special sweets with a 'Bon Voyage' message - Ghewar, Kheer, Gulab jamun & a Waffle! We were there for the Father's Day weekend & they made it special with complimentary cake & celebrations for us. While the property and hospitality were fantastic, having some indoor sports facilities like tennis, badminton, or table tennis would have been a great addition for guests looking to stay engaged.

I regret to say that our recent stay at Sukhvilas fell significantly short of our expectations. We chose this hotel for a one-night stay in Chandigarh, intending to relax after a long drive from Manali and before our flight to Mumbai. Given its reputation as the best in Chandigarh, we expected a seamless and restful experience. Upon our evening arrival, we were dismayed to find red insects in the room and a lizard in the bathroom. We needed to shower before dinner after a badminton session, but only my daughter managed to do so before our room was changed, which delayed our plans. Although we appreciated the upgrade to a tent room, our aim to freshen up before dining at Kaanan was thwarted. The next morning, we were further disappointed to find a dead roach in the upgraded room. Additionally, our spa experience was far from satisfactory. My wife and I found the therapists inadequately trained, and the hydro facility we had planned to use post-treatment was occupied. We were redirected to another room for steam, but the steam did not work, leading us to a third room. By the time it was functional, we were directed back to the hydro facility. After using the sauna, steam, and jacuzzi, we found only one towel in the treatment room and no hairdryer for my wife. When we informed the staff, they offered only an apology and suggested using the salon’s dryer, which involved walking in robes between facilities – an inconvenience we did not expect from Oberoi. While the staff's efforts, particularly those of Gaurav and Ansh, were commendable, and our dining experience at Kaanan and breakfast service from Utkarsh and the chef were highlights, these positives did not compensate for the overall disappointment. Having just stayed at the Wildflower in Shimla, our expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the experience at Sukhvilas did not measure up, and room upgrades and discounts cannot rectify the deficiencies we encountered.

Loved every single thing about the hotel, from their excellent hospitality to the excellent hotel, everything was top notch, above and beyond my expectations.

We had an incredibly enjoyable and restful holiday at Oberoi Sukhvilas. The property is perfect for a relaxing getaway, offering excellent amenities, beautifully designed interiors, comforting bed & linen and the most courteous and attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious! During our 3-night stay, we didn't feel the need to leave the property at all. From the moment we checked in, the hotel Manager, Gaurav, warmly greeted us and provided detailed information about the 25-acre property. Our entire stay has been exceptional, and we can't stop praising it. The hotel offers various activities, such as a forest walk guided by Harsh, who shared fascinating trivia about the forest, making the experience enjoyable. We also loved our yoga session with instructor Manish. It was our first time practicing yoga, and the instructor was patient and attentive, helping us improve our techniques and postures. Our butlers and housekeepers, Shabnam and Soumya, went above and beyond to take care of our needs without us even having to ask, which made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. Special recognition goes to Chef Munish, Arindam, and Prikshit, who took the time to inquire about our preferences and prepared incredibly delicious meals for us throughout our stay. They not only showed exceptional attention to us but to all guests at the hotel, which truly stood out. We would also like to acknowledge the staff members Bhanu, Sahil, Gaurav, and Aman, who were consistently courteous and warm. The overall hospitality and attention to every small detail were fantastic. This holiday was truly memorable, and we will definitely recommend this property to our friends and family, as well as plan to visit again ourselves.

We had dinner at kanan, Oberoi. Prabhjit and Samiran served us really well. They took great care of us and served us great Food and took care of each and every details. We celebrated our Fathers Birthday from decor to Food we felt special. Chef Arindam made best dal makhani ever.

I had an amazing experience once again and wants me to go back for more! The hotel staff was extremely helpful and the best I have seen in India. Truly a great place to be...
