Hotel Restaurant Source de la Vallee

It was a hidden gem just off the highway that way exceeded our expectations. The included breakfast was abslutely wonderful. Very affordable too.

Please avoid this hotel if you travel with a family, in particular with young children. In our case: 2 adults with 3 children of 7, 4 and 1 years old (sharing bed withsleeping on our own travel crib used about one hundred hotels/guesthouses/hostels/etc before) Christophe and Naomi - the owners - refused to check-in our family in the room we booked and payed using a major well known platform for the purpose (might have been my last time using it anyway…) but wait for the sadistic detail: all this unpleasant situation took place a little before 22h with the youngest ones about to sleep in our arms - a premier unacceptable experience! After insisting that we still wanted to stay, offering to pay an extra room or any extra supplement for letting the children to stay in the hotel, the answer was literally: “go away or I call the police”. Out reply was “please so, call the police” while searching for another hotel room in the region. I guess Christophe had no courage to call the police but anyway we decide to leave as soon as possible because luckily we found another hotel some 20minutes away. The booking process has been performed including all family members details, done a numbered amount of times before in the same way, in hotels through all Europe and specifically also France. Usually pals are not asked - at all - to pay one extra room for children of these ages. We have been traveling frequently, specially along with our children in Europe and Asia and never-ever had something which could come close to this. To be nice I can say the owners were “excited” and a “little bit” unpleasant, 99% of the hotels/guesthouses/etc make solutions and their guests comfortable. The Source de la Vallée literally left 3 very young children at 10pm outside in the street. Comment to the owners: your mindset and attitude is, at least, not business friendly, it is obvious that you guys are not experienced travelers nor hotel hosts, this might explain why your restaurant was almost empty on an excellent weather Friday evening in august. I hope my testimony helps families to avoid places such this. Shame on you Source de la Vallée.

Such a friendly welcome. Nice rooms and good breakfast. The owners speak French and English. Cleanliness was also top of the list. Don't hesitate to book a room -- just contact Naomi and Chris. The room was cosy and well decorated. We had car problems and they helped us -- what a service. We will return to the area and stay overthere, we could recommend to have a stay at "Source de la Vallée" Thanks guys
