Due to cancellation of the ferry Teradomari-Akadomari, this Akadomari port on Sado Island is no more serviced. Besides, busses from the closest port, Ogi, do not run anymore when the ferry arrives. Thus, the Hotel management has arranged a car to pick me from Ogi. The hotel is on the seaside, overlooking a protected sand beach. Rooms on this side are spacious traditional rooms, futons on tatamis. On mountain side, there are some international style rooms. The Restaurant provides an abundant Japanese breakfast, strange for an international palate... but certainly OK for Japanese. To cap the picture, there is a large Onsen, a typical communal bath, one for each sex. Fantastic feeling in a 42° water, I used it twice a day for 3 days... what a treat. And all that for 4870Yens (9050Y with breakfast and dinner)

The scenery is beautiful, the food is very delicious, and one day a big crab is given to each table. On the last day, because we had to leave early and had no time to enjoy breakfast, we also kindly helped us prepare rice balls early.
