The Lodge Mallorca, Small Luxury Hotels

A Truly lovely place in Mallorca. From the moment you arrive until you leave the hotel and all it's staff make you feel so comfortable and welcome. The breakfast choices were great, a good choice of buffet breakfast foods as well as a menu to order eggs etc etc from. Dinner at the restaurant was also very tasty and the food was reasonably priced. The Lodge is located in a nice quiet area away from all the hustle and bustle of the bigger resort towns on the island yet not too far away to carry out day trips and explore with a rented car. Our room was amazing, super quiet and very comfortable, every late afternoon we received a little snack provided by the hotel free of charge, not sure if all rooms get this, we stayed in a master suite. Should we return to Mallorca we would def stay here again.

We loved our time here! The service is so warm, restaurant and breakfast were top notch, and the scenery is gorgeous! The rooms were very nice and clean, and had great possibility to arrange to be family friendly. Would absolutely recommend 👍👍

Amazing quiet luxury retreat - and the staff is wonderful! Incredible service and they made us feel very much at home. Breakfast is amazing. We stayed in the room next to the wellness which felt like our own private hideaway. They offer great hikes and other activities. We will be back for sure!

Amazing landscaping, environment and quality of service. Excellent food and best value for money compared to all other 5 star hotels we have visited on the island. Use bikes to explore the beautiful lavender and almond gardens was amazing

We had a great experience at The Lodge. Staff were super helpful and accomodating of our needs. Our room was great and bed was super comfortable. We were happy we had a rental car as the hotel is not super close to any of the attractions we wanted to see in the region.

The property was lovely. Though we had some confusion regarding our reservation and some tech issues in our suite, the management was very accommodating in meeting our requests. The food was fabulous. If you need a tranquil vacation, this is a lovely location.

We booked and paid for our stay at The Lodge in April, before it opened and following a redirection from the Finca Serena which had no availability for the dates we were seeking. We were enticed by the pre-launch computer generated pictures and promise of a ‘true Mediterranean refuge’ and ‘an exceptional destination……..characterised by elegance tranquility and a deep respect for nature. Giving life to a new concept of luxury refuge’. Unfortunately, our experience did not match this. A warning about not delivering on the vision and an option to cancel or postpone would have been appreciated. That said it would be unfair to focus entirely on the negatives. All the staff were a credit to the establishment with ever present smiles and a desire to help and provide a positive experience. The public spaces in the main lodge have been sympathetically and attractively restored and the outside terrace is good and has potential, but the aspect is spoilt by the unfinished nature of the groundworks. The ‘Singular’ restaurant is good. We found our room located away from the Lodge to be fine. It was well appointed, comfortable and quiet with the ‘rustic chic’ look enhanced by mismatched paint. The biggest disappointment was the outside spaces. Whilst the concept, design and vision can be imagined the lack of maturity in the planting, the clearly unfinished groundworks and exposed rubble results in the feeling of staying in the midst of a building site; did it open at least one year too soon? The main pool is attractive but lacks the service of a 5-star establishment; where we would expect to be able to order a range drinks and snacks, not just help ourselves to nuts, water, coffee and zero alcohol beer. We were told the relevant licences were not in place, why were we not advised in advance? The second pool is tiny and has no resemblance to that shown in the marketing material. In summary we were disappointed and feel, to some degree, that we were misled by the marketing material upon which we booked. We certainly do not consider it value for the money we have paid. We shared our views before leaving and received only a partial response. We hope that in time the vison is realised, but there is a long way to go.

Overall a good experience. Excellent Service and Breakfast was fantastic. Room we had did feel a bit average for the price it cost. A bit dark with only a small window. For a new hotel the finish in the bathroom wasn't great. The drain channel in the shower area wasn't finished properly and the wall areas around the taps, light switches, sockets etc in the room all seemed to have been patched up. Bed was nice and very comfy. The pool area is lovely. Hotel grounds obviously need time to mature and it was clear that building work is still ongoing.

We stayed two nights, looking forward to a nice and positive experience, by the look of marketing materials and communications and by the fact the hotel is part of Small Luxury hotels of the world, which usually it is a guarantee of quality. Not this time unfortunately. Starting with the positives: - Restaurant/food: superlative restaurant, great food, good ambience and service, well done! - Staff and service: prompt and helpful, polite and supporting when asked to find a solution. The front desk manager was particularly helpful when addressing our remarks. Negatives: - Room: looking unfinished, missing paint from the walls or with dirty walls. Not refined and definitely not aligned to what is expected from a 5 star hotel. - Price/quality: definitely not ok. 600€ or more per night were not matched by the level of quality offered. To be noticed that the staff promptly refund us of a part of the fee when we highlighted the above issues. - New opening: I’m reading a lot of comments about the fact it’s a new opening. I don’t think it’s a good excuse. If the hotel acknowledges that the structure has not yet reached its level of standards then it should offer a discount on the fee from the get go (not waiting guests to complain or having a bad surprise).
