The room offered sufficient space, the bathroom was clean and looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a large variety of food and drinks. The sauna is also very recommandable. The location is central. There is a shopping mall just across the street, local and long distance bus stops are nearby. Personnel was very friendly and supportive.

The room is spacious, and the layout is in line with the Christmas atmosphere. The sauna inside is also very good. You must stay in this hotel when you come to Santa Claus Village. The service at the front desk is warm. The salmon on the first day of breakfast was delicious, but the second day was very salty. Santa Claus Village can be played for two days in winter, and one night in summer is enough, the place is not big. But there are two Santas inside. Prices for photos vary.

The front desk service of the hotel is good, the restaurant is good in terms of food and waiterservice, one of the waiters named Alex is more than perfect 💯I appreciate him very much in terms of attitude and handling methods👍🏻 The location of the hotel is in the city center. It is very convenient to see what you want. There are several good restaurants around and free parking But the hotel room is super thin, it is already very difficult to open 2 large suitcases, and the sound insulation is very poor! The mattress is not too comfortable. Only the restaurant and service staff meet the star standard, and the room can only be considered ordinary.

We stayed at the hotel for five days after Christmas. Overall we liked our stay very much. Our room was modern and clean. The rest of the hotel had a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The entire hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner was great and always freshly prepared. We booked several activities with the hotel. We went ice fishing, snow shoe hiking and did a husky trip, which were organized very well with great personal guides. Overall a wonderful experience in Lapland.

We booked a room on 6th floor 27.11.-2.12. They gave us the room 62-something. Room in general looked clean but the bathroom was dirty and probably not even cleaned. There was hair all over bathtub and the glass was dirty. We went to reception and got the different room but receptionists didn’t seem surprised at all for what happened. After that, they gave us the room 63-something and everything was fine til I went to the reception to ask for one more pair of towels to use in the sauna. The lady told me to use the same towel I use for showering (!?) but eventually she did give another one. Breakfast is ok but nothing special, you don’t get fresh juices just some water with flavour and food offer is quite small and same every day. There’s no room service or phone in the room to call reception. You have to walk downstairs for everything you need. Since the room is called deluxe and costs about 260€ per night in November the least I except is for it to be clean and to get one towel for the shower and one for the sauna. Also temperature in the room is weird and no matter how you set it on thermostat it is always the same. Good thing is definitely hotels location in the center, close to everything you need. This was my third time in Rovaniemi and there are definitely better options when it comes to “value for money” than this. Since I like winter activities and skiing, I will keep coming back to Rovaniemi but I don’t think I would choose this hotel again.

We booked on booking.com, but when we arrived to check in we were told our room had been double booked and we were being downgraded. We had originally booked the room with private sauna, so were very disappointed that we did not have this facility, particularly as the communal sauna is only open for around 3 hours per day and we had an activity booked the same time so could not use it at all. The location is stunning and we had fun walking the various trails from the hotel. We had two activities booked which both collected from the hotel, but otherwise we had to get taxis to and from the town centre as there is no public transport to the hotel. Taxis cost around €20 each way, and reception can book them for you. Room was nice, but the light switches were quite difficult to use. We were also a bit cold and could not see a way to up the temperature. The bath was lovely, and came with bubble bath, robes and slippers which we made use of. Our view was of a car park, so that was not great. Breakfast was amazing, lovely views and they even had honey on the comb. You have to book the restaurant in advance, or make alternative plans (but keep in mind there are not really any other options around the hotel). Staff were friendly.

I used it as a couple in December 2022. It is located about 5 minutes on foot from the k supermarket in the city center, and is in the opposite direction from the area where restaurants are gathered. Although it was the winter season, the sidewalks were cleanly cleared of snow, and after getting off the bus in front of the supermarket, you could walk to the hotel while rolling your carry-on bag. Not far enough to take a taxi. There are many houses around and it is quiet. I didn't use it, but there seems to be a sauna. Breakfast was delicious. It was a general menu such as bread, ham, cheese, salad, yogurt. The room was clean, but there was no safe. There is no partition between the shower and the toilet in the bathroom, so the toilet gets soaked when you take a shower. Overall, it is a recommended hotel.

Perfect stay! Arrived on my own and was collected promptly at the airport - was offered to stop at Lidl on the way to collect some groceries. The apartment is really spacious and super warm! The sauna is great; gets up to around 85-90°C. The apartment is located about a 10 minute drive from the city centre or Santa's Village. There is shopping about a 3-4 minute drive. Unless you've rented a car, I would suggest using the offered taxi service which is run by the company. Kitchen has everything you'd need; microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. My only suggestion would be a couple more towels because between showers and saunas, you'd be finished with them very quickly!

Stayed at Arctic Light Hotel during a conference in Rovaniemi. Got a fairly small top-floor room with a roof window (hence, no view but of the late-summer sky). I think this room was slightly cheaper than a regular room. It was located close to an elevator, which I could hear but it did not bother me. The room was very clean, nice and cozy - and a good place to retreat back to after long conference days. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a good selection of food, yogurts, cakes and coffee. The only downside was getting a thin orange juice from a machine. Fresh juice would have been more appropriate among all the other good food. The two gentlemen at the reception desk, Mark and Max, had a very pleasant manner and provided excellent service and advice. The hotel itself, located in the old city hall, is brilliant and good looking and beautifully designed. Definitely a place to recommend!
