Corona Hotel Rotherham Sheffield Meadowhall

OK here's the thing it's a bog standard hotel in a rough area with dodge on street parking... Nobody there so keys are in little safes...entrance gives the halfway house, hostel vibe and the carpet has never been cleaned...advice : hold on to your key for God's sake as losing it is a nightmare... OK on to the rooms... Surprised to say they were pretty good, clean and tidy with everything you need....can't complain...although bring your own pillows. Bathrooms was clean and shower worked fine..WiFi was easy to connect to and worked a treat....this hotel is what it is so don't expect the hilton lol...hope this helps.i took some photos...

we had an horrendous experience this weekend. Payment was taken in advance, no other contact Informed them of check in time 8-9pm. Arrived in that time and had to phone number on door as no one there or ever looks like there. Told problem with booking and room not available no more. Told them to come down to hotel and they put phone down on me. Phone then unobtainable and we were left stranded at 9pm with nowhere to stay. Door was however unlocked and i had a look around, this isnt a hotel, sumone opened a door, he looked like a resident , Aware that snooker was on no hotels in sheffield or rotherham were available we had to book a hotel in doncaster make additional payment and get another train and not arriving into doncaster and the hotel until after 10pm. The way we were treated was appalling , so please book elsewhere, this is not a hotel , the area around is unsafe and full of drunks and druggies and racing car drivers outside

Please do not stay here. The rooms were freezing with no control over the heating. I got in touch with hotel through booking. Com and they ignored my message for a heavier duvet or extra blanket. Bear in mind we have had stormy weather all week so was really cold. I ended up buying a throw the next day. There was no bath stopper for a bath and no way to hold the shower to the wall.

Great location. Near where we needed to be. Clean and warm room.

I booked this for a price of $56 for one night, you took £400 from my account , this is not in Sheffield or near meadowhall its near center the center of rotherham. This is a semi detached house not an hotel. I phone straight away about the mistake, i sent numerous text and messages so went there to cancel, there are no staff on the premises. I cancelled on their answer phone and booked the ibis in sheffield. I require the return of my money ASAP
