* Parking - small lot under the hotel between the poles everywhere- hard to navigate and park near but space is limited and it is NY so I get it. *Location- nice centrally located in surprisingly high end area. Great food right nearby. * Service- let me just say the housekeeper was great! Friendly and takes pride in her work. In sharp contrast though, the front desk staff female - needs some serious customer service training. Walked inside to check in to her finishing an obvious personal call by the context and a hand being thrown up to us as we waited for her to finish making her after work plans. Simple Issues during check in that became larger on her part as we obviously inconvenienced her and she literally argued room type listed in printed copy of reservation. Get through that and then sent to room and Room 1 - no heat or ac working, floor creaking and uneven which was odd, weird smell (assuming from ac issue). Returned to desk to discuss and she sadly, seemed to enjoy the fact there was an issue. So sent us and all our stuff to Room 2- bed great surprisingly comfy bathroom clean, older room but is just a place to lay your head while in town. Keys however mysteriously kept not working but ironically enough only when she was on shift over the course of several days. Male morning desk person, very friendly and helpful with directions. He always was being personable with guests other than ourselves, obviously enjoys his job. *Room 2 was directly under room 1 which became occupied on day 2 and we spent the next two days in the evenings listening to extremely loud floor squeaks as the guests above us moved. They were night owls and this went well into the night. We ended up meeting them at breakfast and it was an interesting conversation as they noticed all the same listed above. *Breakfast- decent but no home run. For age and size of hotel, it was well set out and had what you needed to start the day. I would strongly say to just stay somewhere else. It was clean which was good but overall even as a place just to lay your head it is best to avoid.

What a strange, strange hotel. I'm a Hilton Diamond member. Hilton is running a promotion, encouraging you to stay in different brands, and The Roslyn (note the pretentious ”The”) is in one of their sub-brands. At Check-in, there was ZERO recognition for being a Hilton Honors member, let alone a Diamond member. I'd requested a Diamond Upgrade when I booked, which is supposed to be automatic. No upgrade. Instead, I was put in a room overlooking a rooftop with HVAC units, and looking up at the underside of a concrete bridge. SRSLY? The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable, so there's that. But the bathroom? What a joke! The mirror is centered at 4” 2” over the sink! I'm not a tall guy, but I had to haul the ottoman in and kneel on it to shave! And the toilet seat is 14” off the floor! If you are older, overweight and/or have bad knees, how the heck are you supposed to do #2? Every Hilton property in the universe begins the che3ck-out process with ”How was your stay?” This place? Fuddedaboutit! The desk staff is either clueless, or they know the property is a joke and they don't want to hear about it. Wish I'd stayed at the Hampton Inn or even the Holiday Inn Express instead.

Came to Sonesta to rest the night after having a terrible day and my day immediately became better off of two interactions with the staff. Danaya and a bartender who I saw from 6-7pm. I was on line ready to check in with a down look on my face since I wasn’t able to return home after working a double at the hospital. As I go up to check in I’m greeted with this amazing energy, positive attitude, vibe and aura that can immediately make you smile after just a couple of sentences. This person is Danaya. She made my day so much better after just a small conversation. I did come back down later to drop my girlfriend off to her car and again me and her both were greeted with the same energy that I had received a couple of hours earlier. I do believe that every job and every place deserves someone like Danaya! The amount of joy I received after checking in truly made my night so much better and I wish her all the best! I wish I had asked for the bartender’s name who made me a Caribbean rum punch! I sat down after speaking with Danaya who told me about happy hour, and ask the bartender for his favorite drink since I had just turned 21 a week/ 2 weeks ago. He immediately went to work on the first drink I’ve had out of the many I’ve had in this short time that I enjoyed. I’m not big on Alcohol since I’m just now exploring it but the one he had made for me was amazing. With his cheerful attitude and quickness of the drink I was definitely grateful for him being there! Wish him all the best also! The room was amazing and something not many people realize is how important it is to have such good water while showering. I feel like it’s always overlooked but my shower was fantastic here. The king sized bed I had was like sleeping and a cloud and the channels they had were great to watch. Tv was amazing and everything was clean. The window has an amazing view! This hotel is amazing. From the rooms, to the guest and to the staff that do their best to provide nothing but the best service you can receive. Any hotel can offer a bed to sleep on and a happy hour but none do it better than Sonesta! Thank you to all who work there and I wish you the best in life. And another personal thanks to Danaya, the bartender who served me, and to whoever cleaned my room before and after my stay! I wish nothing but great things for you guys! Our stay at this hotel was the most pleasant of all the hotels we stayed at in NY (we stayed at 3 different ones). The hotel was very, very clean and we enjoyed our stay of two days. We were on the first floor (which when we got there we had asked to move from the third floor they had originally booked us in and they changed the room without any hesitation to accommodate our request) which we were able to drive around the side of the hotel and enter right from the parking lot...loved this! The outdoor pool was wonderful... lounge chairs around it for relaxing after a swim. There was tables just outside the pool area with canopies to get relief from the hot sun and to have a drink...very nice spot. There was a restaurant/ bar right in the hotel which seemed busy all the time it was open. We really enjoyed the pizza from this spot! One thing I absolutely loved about this hotel was the shower! The best shower I had in a long time...lots of water pressure and no shortage of hot water. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied was Dove and large pump bottles not the tiny little bottles usually found in other hotels. Dove pump to wash your hands at the sink and Dove pump Body Lotion. The staff were very friendly and accommodating... just a great vibe there. In the front of the building there is a small waterfall on rocks surrounded by bushes and a bench across from it to sit.. was very pretty in the evening. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again if visiting this area!

The rooms are very spacious! ! It is very convenient to have a kitchen to cook. Ample parking, friendly breakfast and great service! In particular, a girl at the front desk named Meylin was very enthusiastic and made the journey very complete and warm! The location is extremely convenient, five minutes walk from the train station.

Chain hotel, excellent service! It is a resort, large in scale, the lobby has a sunny roof, and it feels good. But there is a distance from the downtown area and it is quiet.

Stayed at home wood suites and the room was very dirty when we arrived. Repairs are being done in the pool area however we received an email two weeks before our stay. I replied to the email and copied the general manager however not suki nor the general manager had the decency to reply to me. Room is dilapidated and dirty when we arrived. The dishes were not washed and the floors were dirty.ceiling has serious cracks from water damage and the furniture is very dirty. The noise from the street is unreal. The maids come into the room without knocking on the door even if you have a do not disturb sign on the door. Internet is practically non existent. For the price please forgo elsewhere this hotel administration has changed since the last time I was there really too bad.

Stayed 2 nights. Hotel staff is very friendly. Building is CLEAN. Rooms are clean, bedding is clean as well. The furniture is in good standards. Quiet place, near many malls and about 30 minutes from NYC. Would definitely stay again when in the area. Free parking.

Stayed multiple times. Chinese breakfast is a feature. The room is also very big. It would be better if drinking water can be provided. You don’t have to buy it at your own expense. It’s still as convenient as ever to eat. Haidilao, Little Sheep and Xiaolongkan are all within walking distance

The hotel service is warm, our language is not available, but through gestures and other exchanges, the stay is very smooth. The egg roll for breakfast tastes good. The room decoration is simple but very clean.
