Cinnamon Sally Backpackers Hostel Reviews

I had a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Sally's for one night. My visit was in March, so it wasn't very crowded – I was the only one in my 4 bed room. Anyway, it still felt like family: the atmosphere and vibe of the hostel was inviting and I met lovely guests and staffers. There are group events each evening. I had a great time attending the Folk Dance event led by Marta, it was really fun and I can only recommend to try it for yourself! Breakfast is included (with tasty waffles!), a towel was provided. I hope I'll be able to come back for a longer stay sometime.

Wearing shoes inside isn’t allowed, but I don’t think floor is clean. If you need, you should bring your slippers.

Excellent value for money

The breakfast is excellent, the staff is friendly, the facilities are very complete, and free drinks and fruits are provided. The hygiene inside is good, but you have to go through the smelly stairs when you come in. You can choose where to sleep, and I chose the upper bunk, so I wasn't disturbed by people coming in and out.

A lot of people were there, but a room,bathroom and a living room were clean. A staff really friendly and nice there !

I haven’t stayed in a hostel for decades , so was very much out of my comfort zone. The staff were friendly , atmosphere calm , friendly and welcoming. The hotel made my stay n Riga great

Friendly staff, lovely community, great location!

The location was great! The bus station was also within a 10 minute walk and there was a McDonald's under the same building. The staff were friendly and helpful! I liked that the room had a large floor space and that the lockers were sturdy. There is also a working space, so if you want to work on something, you can concentrate on it. The bedding on the bed was also clean and good. The comforter was thin. It's perfect if you're sensitive to heat, but if you're sensitive to cold, it would be a good idea to ask the staff if they can provide you with an extra comforter.

Very nice hostel

If you want to enter the hostel, you have to enter through the McD door. The hostel is really comfortable, close to the central station.. So if you want to take a bus to other places, it's easy.

Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und geben einem viele Tipps. Es gibt auch einen Wochenplan und eine WhatsApp-Gruppe mit Aktivitäten und Ereignissen in der Umgebung. Das Hostel bietet auch günstig Getränke, sowie kostenlosen Kaffee und Tee an. Im Aufenthaltsbereich kann man gut mit anderen Gästen ins Gespräch kommen, wenn man abends nicht rausgehen will. Es wird aber auch für Nachtruhe gesorgt, damit man sich in seinem Zimmer ausruhen kann. Sehr empfehlenswert!

I had chosen this hostel because it is supposed to exude a convivial, pleasant atmosphere. In fact, I was not disappointed. First of all, the rooms and the furnishings are absolutely average, and the cleanliness can get a bit affected by the many guests in between. But that was not a major problem. The breakfast was very tasty, especially the homemade waffles were a highlight. Otherwise, the hostel guests like to do things together, which is very practical for single travellers. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and met many friendly and interesting people.
