WoodSpring Suites Seattle Redmond

1. Room floor dirty on arrival. 2. Microwave oven glass plate dirty. 3. Frying pan is a health risk (teflon scratched). 4. Dirty plate in dish washing machine on arrival. 5. Sliding floors -> worsening my herniated disc & now my knees are very sore (still). 6. No cold water in bathroom sink tap + the water got more and more boiling hot. 7. Sink didn't hold water. 8. Three out of four lamps in the bathroom work. 9. No drain in bathroom + floor lowered towards kitchen area (with no drain in the floor either) -> wet & very slippery floors. 10. People in my room TWICE without my knowledge/warning -> made me feel very insecure (what were they doing? Were they going through my stuff? Stealing? 11. Coffee machine in lobby only served coffee & hot water + sugar substitute. Aka no tea, milk, or sugar. Moreover, coffee machine was out of order for five days (aka I left the hotel before it started working). 12. No toilet paper on demand; I had to buy myself if I needed bathroom tissue. 13. Corridor carpets full of dirt; they were not being hoovered every day/every second day.. However, three days before my leave they were being vacuumed. 14. Employees smoked within 25 ft of the hotel's entrances, violating smoking restrictions. 15. No soap in public restroom which also served as restroom for employees. Three days later, there was still no soap, and the room had obviously not been cleaned. 16. My stay was prolonged twice, because I needed to stay for more than one week, and because the staff couldn't/didn't know how to prolong it for more than seven days. This meant that firstly, I couldn't prolong my stay as much as I needed, and second I paid very varying prices for my extended stay; from 75$/night for one week, next week the price was 85$/night, and for the last two nights at a cost of more than 125$/night. All in all, I can only strongly advise against booking a stay at this hotel. Even if prizes from Choice Hotels are on display in the lobby, those prizes were won in Texas, not in Redmond, Washington.

Element Seattle Redmond

Overall it was a good stay. The room is spacious for four of us. Convenient location close to lot of restaurants and highway. Quiet spot. There is contraction next door so I was not sure if it would be noisy during the week. There is underground parking and charged for $15 per day. The only thing I would want to bring it up was the breakfast time on Sunday. We were told it was end at 10am. We got down at 9:45am. Everything was empty. I asked the stuff and she said she called out “last call” for breakfast so she won’t bring any food out! I was stocked. If the breakfast time ends at 10am, there should still be food there at 9:45am! It was the first time I heard something like this! I felt like it was non sense. We only had Cheerio for breakfast that morning. The bananas were all black. I was not sure who would eat a black banana. I would recommend more food choice and re-visit your breakfast strategy.
Aloft Seattle Redmond

You can't beat the location if you are visiting Microsoft's main campus as it is in walking distance. You are also about a 15 minute drive from downtown Bellevue. Lots of good stores and restaurants nearby particularly if you like Indian food. The hotel itself is a good property. There is a good XYZ bar on the first floor where there is always some sort of action happening. Check-in is a bit wonky as they share staff with the Element across the cul de sac so if nobody is there when you check in just go across the way and you will find someone. Rooms are very typical of an Aloft--quite utilitarian but clean and comfortable beds. Wifi is usually strong. Overall a good choice for the area.
Residence Inn Seattle East/Redmond

The hotel is exactly what you expect. Nice quiet rooms, fully equipped with a kitchen and utensils. Good parking space and proximity to Bellevue and Redmond. There's a nice trail that connects to the property that makes for a very nice morning walk. Breakfast is pretty good. And, like most hotels in the area, super expensive. My only gripe is that the main elevator in the building is incredibly slow. It was really painful to wait for it in the morning. There's another elevator that is less convenient but actually moves at normal speed.
Hyatt House Seattle/Redmond

I would thoroughly recommend the Hyatt House to anyone staying in Redmond. I was pleasantly surprised with our room and stay. Without knowing Redmond, the parking garage felt safe to park our, the neighborhood was nice - though it seemed to lack on food options compared to other similar looking neighborhoods, and our room was great. We had a top-floor corner unit with a wrap-around balcony. The floor to cieling windows allowed for plenty of natural light with minimal noise from the road. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a fridge in the room. The ceilings were the highest I've ever seen - except maybe once - in a hotel room, but I would be surprised if rooms on the lower floors had comparably high ceilings. While the room and staff were great, the breakfast here is fine but it is definitely one of the better free hotel breakfasts that I've had. If you're looking for a great place to relax right next to an urban bike/walking trail, then this is the place for you.
