We stayed at Edgewater for 12 days as part of a holiday/work scout and it was beyond everything we expected. Basic room was perfect for our needs with great air conditioning which is essential and complimentary tropical continental buffets breakfast each morning. We had an amazing room which was on 3rd floor behind the restaurant with views of the pool, sea and stunning gardens from our window and balcony. The staff were so great, always happy and couldn’t do more for us including see us walking around the island and giving us rides in their personal vehicle and on their personal time. Complimentary snorkelling gear was well used by us and we ate frequently from the restaurant and definitely used the bar a lot. Got a massage at the spa which was blissful and easy to book in for. We will definitely be coming back again, I don’t think we’d want to stay anywhere else! Special mention to staff Ngaoa with reservations help and hospitality staff Veti, Jimmy, Mila and activities team. My only negatives were we had a room that seemed it adjoined to another by a double lock door but when someone was in that room it was not sound proof at all and was very loud. The guests that spent two nights there were unfortunately loud till the wee hours so that kept me awake. Luckily that was only for two nights and then they were gone.

Sanctuary Rarotonga wasn't just a hotel, it was a portal to an underwater wonderland! Sheltered from the wind and sun's warm embrace, it offered the perfect spot to cool off between snorkelling escapades. And let's not forget the swim-up bar – our happy hour haven with delicious cocktails that quenched our thirst and matched the vibrant hues of the surrounding reef. But Sanctuary's magic extended far beyond its stunning location. The resort's restaurant was a culinary gem. Fresh, flavourful dishes at reasonable prices – what more could a sun-kissed explorer ask for? And those island-inspired cocktails? Let's just say they were the perfect sunset companion. The true heart of Sanctuary, though, was its incredible staff. Friendly, helpful, and always going above and beyond, they made us feel like cherished guests. Check-in and check-out were as smooth as the lagoon itself, and free parking and a nearby bus stop made exploring the island a breeze. Kayaking and paddleboarding were included in our stay, adding an extra layer of excitement to our island adventure. We paddled across the glassy lagoon, feeling like true explorers navigating a turquoise sea. Plus, having snorkels, fins, and beach towels in the room meant we were always ready to dive into the underwater paradise whenever the urge struck. Our room was a cozy haven, decorated with a charming island flair. The comfy bed was perfect for resting after a day of exploration, and the air conditioning was a godsend on those balmy Cook Islands nights. Sanctuary Rarotonga wasn't just a vacation; it was an experience that left us yearning for more. Whether you're a snorkelling enthusiast, a cocktail connoisseur, or simply seeking island serenity, this place has something for everyone. It's a haven of friendly faces, crystal-clear waters, and unforgettable memories. We can't wait to return and write another chapter in our Sanctuary story!

Hotel location is very good, must book a sea view room, the lagoon landscape is superb, not suitable for children, the pool is very small, many stones on the beach are not beaches, the lagoon is very shallow children can snorkel but there is no fish. On the day of the check-in, the hotel said that the sea view room area does not accept children. After the Ctrip communication shop, it is necessary to change to the poolside room. The front desk has arranged a sea view room. The process is somewhat unclear. The hotel facilities are relatively simple and old, the restaurant is not big, the dishes are not much, the breakfast is simple in Western style, and there are fruits such as papaya and orange. The front desk and restaurant staff are very welcoming. Car rental is convenient, and it is convenient to book a day trip. Rarotonga is very small. There are two buses in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The hotel is getting on and off at the entrance of the hotel and it takes about an hour around the island. Ten minutes from the airport, the front desk helps to book a taxi to the airport for $30. The hotel is generally satisfactory and will consider staying.

The hotel is right next to Little Polynesian, convenient location, you can take the bus to the town, the beach is very beautiful, can enjoy the ocean view directly from room. The room is clean, with cutlery and a kettle, but the bath water is not stable.

My wife and I spent a week at Pacific Resort celebrating her birthday and one year wedding anniversary. We fell in love with the place when we woke up the next day to stunning views overlooking the lagoon. We stayed in a premium beachfront room on the second floor. We felt so welcome by reception staff and housekeeping were fantastic, ensuring our room was well kept during our stay. We spent every afternoon at Barefoot Bar enjoying happy hour cocktails, a favorite was the frozen Pina Colada. The meals at Sandals were delicious too, you must try the Pacific Sizzler. The tropical breakfast everyday was so yummy and so much variety. We quickly became friends with the bar staff and would be welcomed to a table waiting for us with big smiles and lots of laughs. Triza was absolutely amazing, she was super friendly and so attentive, going above and beyond for us every day. We miss her! Joel, Roxane, Elaine and Sisi were also so lovely and made our stay what it was. We will definitely be back, how can you resist such a beautiful place with the best people.
