The hotel's sightseeing bus circled and explained patiently, saving us from the embarrassment of walking to the attractions one by one in the rain. We also had dinner on 520 in the hotel, a completely Michelin Chinese restaurant, and the breakfast included all the special snacks of Quanzhou, noodle soup, peanut soup, and beef soup, which were very delicate. It was not like street snacks at all. The entire 520 itinerary was perfectly presented because of Qixu's service.

The only one complaint is the lighting brightness in the bathroom above the facial sink - totally inadequate to support a proper shaving - needs to be brighter so that guest could see their own faces. Otherwise, everything is what it takes to be a top rated hotel.

Excellent hotel. It gets everything right. Welcoming, easy check in, comfortable and spacious rooms, clean (which for a large hotel with such high occupancy is the clearest way to see that it is a very well managed hotel!) and a full, delicious breakfast buffet with healthy choices. I’ve stayed there several times and think there must be a new manager because the post Covid version is especially good. A shopping area adjacent to the hotel offers a good place to wander. I’m a Hilton Diamond member but chose to stay at the Wanda Vista when I’m in Quanzhou.

Stayed late Oct, early Nov 23 for 3 nights. Check-in straight forward. Chinese breakfast included, real bread available. Rooms clean, comfortable, quiet and smoke free. Hotel has free laundry and tea area, but not much else to offer. From the main intersection (China Post) walk north for Starbucks, walk west for Confucian temple and Zhongshan Lu (main tourist area). Turn right here to Xi Lu (pedestrian street) for Kaiyuan temple. Back to the China Post intersection, walk South to a small river and right for Guandi temple and the mosque. Take bus 203 or 604 on Dong Lu (the extension of Xi Lu) for the Muslim cemetery and walk back to the Maritime museum, both worth a look
