Camvillia Resort Messinia

Camvillia Resort is the perfect place to relax and enjoy! The staff is so friendly and professional at the same time. Everyone made us feel welcome as they called us by our names and at the same time they provided five-star room service. All facilities are spotless and neat, with very nice decorations. Our room's decoration was also wonderful, the bed was very comfortable and there were several plugs for our devices. The pool is stunning and the private beach is amazing, the water in the sea is crystal clear, also Koroni is a beautiful town. Moreover, there is a wonderful restaurant with great flavors and a spa for relaxation treatments.

We were the fourth time in Camvillia and our stay was great and everything was fine. Food was fantastic and personal was always very friendly and accommodating. As an improvment we would recommend that in 1 or 2 areas professionals should be hired to complete a wonderful experience in all areas.

My husband and I visited Camvilla in early September with our friend who has family in the village and it was the most beautiful experience we have ever had! The manager Chris was the most generous host. The front desk staff was very easy to communicate with and were very nice. Costas (sp?) was so helpful taking our bags to and from our suite at the bottom of the hill and rides on the golf cart whenever he was available. The bartenders, Alex and another Costas(?), were so much fun to interact with. Lula from the breakfast buffet was so sweet as she welcomed us each morning! The drinks all day and food at each meal were simply delicious. Talk about the most beautiful resort we have ever been to. Our suite was perfectly clean and decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed the private/shared pool by our room. From our time at the beach to time at the main pool we just had the most fun and relaxing stay. There was plenty to do outside of the resort also with adorable villages nearby if we wanted to venture out. And you can not forget about the driver to the beach, Jerry, who was such a nice, fun guy! Everyone at the resort was extremely helpful and communicated very well. You can tell they all take pride in their work and the resort. We can not wait to go back to Camvilla!

The setting for the Camvillia is gorgeous. The huge infinity pool blends into the turquoise blue sea and then falls into the sky. Fabulous to swim in. The bar area gives great views across the bay and boasts deep comfy sofas. The gardens are beautifully planted and full of bougainvillea and osteo*****um. The restaurant serves good food and the hotel reception is cool and shady. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is a super place and one we hope to return to. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Georgia and Andreas in reception were ever patient and accommodating. Jerry (in the beach taxi) and Lula (at breakfast) were lovely and always ready with a smile and a laugh. Constantinos was always calm and efficient in the restaurant. Everyone was happy to help with whatever we asked. Even the beach boy deserves a mention. The village needs a little love so the more visitors the better. The shop has a good stock of essentials though I think we bought most of their sun hats. The pizza cafe next door to the shop is also worth a visit. The food is surprisingly good. The bus service to Koroni or Kalamata is very quick and good value. Overall though you probably need a car if you are staying more than a few days. This is a real gem.

Everything we needed was met by this amazing week we spent at Camvillia. The location is stunning, beach is sandy and the sea is one was the most calmest and bluest I have swam in. As it was September it wasn’t busy at all which added to the charm. The restaurant near the beach served up some amazing food and drink. The hotel itself is beautiful and everyone so lovely and and couldn’t do enough for us. Special shout out to Jerry for his endless good humour and smiles, and his wife Lula who was so attentive at breakfast and seeing to our every need. John and Constantine were great at dinner time and Andreas and Georgina in reception were always at hand to help. Thank you all!!! Met some lovely guests too and hope to keep in touch with some of them. Would definitely love to go back!

Camvillia is brilliant - from start to finish. On arrival the welcoming drink in the outdoor bar area exposes you to the most amazing views and gives a taste of what is to follow. This was our second time here and each time our room has had breath taking views. The rooms have all your needs but nothing beats the view from the balcony whether it is first thing in the morning or late at night. The pool is lovely and the staff constantly bringing round iced water is a plus - other drinks are available! A bonus is the hotel 'minibus' which is available all day to take visitors to and from the private beach - not far away but on a very steep incline. On one occasion, we forgot our towels and the driver kindly brought us some fresh ones from the hotel. The boy on the beach runs up and down getting people what they want. The upstairs restaurant with its panoramic views offers a good choice at breakfast - though nothing beats the Greek yoghurt with honey and nuts. Perfect. A high quality international cuisine is on the menu for dinner with a good range of wines - most of which are Greek and excellent. However the best thing about Camvillia is the staff. From those on Reception - nothing is too much trouble - to the staff in the restaurant with their good humour ( and attempts to get you to speak Greek) to the bar staff who go the extra mile - even getting in non alcoholic beer for my husband. But, most of all, I can not speak highly enough of Georgia who oversees all and ensures everyone is happy. She seems to always be on duty - goodness knows when she sleeps.! It was a prefect place to spend my birthday - and we will return next year. Claire

This resort is absolutely gorgeous. From the arrival in reception to the beach, we loved every bit of Camvillia. We stayed in a new, most stunning room with a private pool that is quite simply faultless. The room is huge, beautifully presented and only built last year, adding to the hotel's range of accommodation. A walk in shower, separate bath with twin basins. Then out on to a lovely terrace with a very inviting infinity pool. Plenty of room by the pool to sit or sunbathe on the sun-beds and chairs provided. The view from our room was simply stunning. The welcome at reception is always so warm and personal. All of the staff are so polite, friendly and extremely helpful - nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed every aspect of the hotel including the short ride to the private beds on the beach, sitting beside the amazing main infinity pool, or back at our own private pool, it made us feel so lucky. Camvillia is a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy some delicious food. This was our 4th visit to Camvillia and we will definitely be going back for more. Thank you to each and every one of the wonderful staff, especially to Georgia, Andreas, Costantinos, Janis, Jerry and Lula - you are all exceptional people and we can't thank you enough for making our stay so special.

*********** just emailed to say our hotel reservation at the end of September with this hotel was cancelled. No reason given. No charge but we are now stuffed for over £400 on the flights to Athens with British Airways. *********** not interested. Not their problem they say despite raising an official complaint with the hotel - their hotel. Their customer (me) is the one who is out of pocket. The *********** call handler suggested I call BA and explain and maybe they will waive the cost - ha bl@@dy ha.

We are a well travelled family always looking for perfect hotels that offer everything to allow us to switch off and relax. Camvillia nailed it 100% with its small existence and abundance of staff. This has got to be the best hotel in the Messinian Bay area, and we have stayed at all of them. All the staff are second to no one. There isn't anything the hotel & staff cannot do for you. From breakfast to the beach. Surroundings are gorgeous. Rooms are spotless. Food is on point. If I had to find a fault, I'd struggle. Private section on the beach was amazing with young George sitting there in the sweltering heat running backwards and forwards brining us food & drinks. One place that will get a return visit from us.
