More traffic of sellers constantly walking buy and trying to get us to buy things. This is not an all-inclusive resort just an all-inclusive hotel. Not an accessible hot tub and there is no adult-only side as they mentioned at check-in. You must make a reservation in advance for 2 restaurants otherwise you're limited to buffet or leave. When the buffet was busy in the morning instead of letting us wait we were turned away and told to try the other breakfast location.

My friend and I shared a room(two females) they put us in a room that the window faced a roof top and another building. No view of anything besides male employee that was painting the building. It felt like a basement. DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 1129! Thank goodness the room was clean(housekeeping is great) and everything worked properly. Room service is 150 pesos for delivery. Beware that you dont usually get everything you order and you are lucky if you get one correct item. The adult pool staff is the only reason we stayed all 5 nights. Celso, Victor, Jose, and Tai Lee are wonderful! This resort would be ideal for someone looking to just read a book and sleep. The entertainment at night was for 65 and older. Good location as far as walking to good places to eat. Definitely not a fun place for age 25-50. Not kid friendly as far as the pool and buffet.

The bartenders and most of the staff are amazing. Keeps us coming back each year for the past 6 years. The food isnt great and we find ourselves going out to eat more and more. Found out this trip that they charge to stay past checkout awaiting flights unless you are from Canada. I think that is pretty crappy.

We have stayed at this property several times. I want to start out with a shout out to the following staff, who are the ones that make Buenaventura as great as it is. Kudos to Jorge, Eduardo, Edgar, Fausto, Carlos, Gustavo, Celso, Gloria, Francia. I’m missing many but know that this staff is consistently outstanding and the resort would not be the same without them. Make sure you tip them well, they deserve it.
A couple of things need improvement. 1), the loungers on the beach are in disrepair and need to be replaced. 2) I have been to this resort three times in the past year and one of the two elliptical machines in the gym has never worked. It has been brought to their attention numerous times, and still sits broken. Additionally, there’s no way for people to clean equipment after use, no spray or wet towels.3) it would be nice if the sky bar stayed open later than 10:30, as you only have one option after that and it’s very crowded and loud.
The location can’t be beat. They are always willing to help you in anyway they can. obviously, we really enjoy this resort or we would not continue to return several times a year.

The food became very boring. I stopped eating on day three the events were uneventful. Almost every day I had to drink wine out of a plastic glass because they never had any wine glasses at the bar not because it was by the pool he just didn’t have any. The rooms were immaculate as well as the property. The staff is incredibly accommodating and very friendly. I found the food good however, it never changed every day was like the day before. The resort became very small and boring. I like the boutique feeling, however, It would benefit very much for more entertainment. There were not very many channels on the TV to choose from those nights you just wanted to stay in.

Accommodations were great! Facilities were fantastic. The buffet was excellent. The alternative restaurant was not good - portion sizes small, long wait for food. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was ridiculously demanding regarding the bracelet/pass one must wear.

We had a great time. The food was good and there were healthy options, which is rare for all inclusive. The staff was friendly and efficient.
The beach was rocky in areas and blocked by other hotels, which made it hard to walk the beach.

We’ve loved the service, the property and the food in the past and previously recommended it to more than 10 others who’ve also stayed there.
Unfortunately, things have changed. Poor quality food with limited choices and an over worked staff have left good memories behind. The property itself is still clean and is fine, but all else, including the super friendly, caring staff have all but disappeared - especially at the front desk where “get lost” seems to be the prevailing attitude.
The food at new year’s dinner was very good, unfortunately, the rest of the week, food was quite poor.

Great spot close to everything. Staff was amazing. Food was pretty good. Definitely booking it again. Liked it so much we almost joined the vacation club.
