Hotel location: The hotel is located on a very beautiful beach, with a narrow road in between that has hardly any traffic. The town of Porto Cesareo can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes, by car in five minutes. Hotel booking: Unfortunately, we overlooked the fact that half-board is obligatory in this hotel, as it was written in the small print. Therefore, this should be considered when booking! Rooms: Mattresses were very hard, bathrooms were very nice, room service was always ok. Our room was on the first floor with a partial sea view, the rooms below seem to be very dark, as they are overgrown by bushes due to the adjacent parking lot, Dinner: Every evening there was a 3-course menu, which was served from around 8:00 p.m. 00 - 21:30 lasted. The food was good, you could choose from three options for breakfast in the morning, but we don't want a three-course menu every evening (but that's a matter of opinion and taste). For organizational reasons, an à la carte selection is probably not possible. As a vegetarian, however, you are at a disadvantage, as the dishes contain a lot of fish. There was an occasional meat menu and a vegetarian option in between, but there were no full vegetarian menus. As was written in a previous review, we are of the opinion that there is a lack of supervision in the service of the restaurant. The processes were not coordinated. From good hotels we know that someone is in charge and directs the staff because he has an overview of where something is still missing. Having an espresso at the bar after dinner was initially not possible as there was no bar staff. Everyone was on duty in the restaurant, and days later staff was deployed for this purpose. Breakfast: was ok, there was Italian dolci, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, sausage, rolls, waffles, crepes and different kinds of eggs. Breakfast was served until 10:30 a.m., but from 10:00 a.m. the buffet was partially cleared. Tables were not newly set, so that one had to sit at a dirty table from the previous guests. Nobody came to put cutlery (I don't even need to mention a clean tablecloth). We weren't asked - as usual - if we would like a coffee. We were ignored. You don't feel very comfortable with it. We paid 300 euros per night for the night including half board (half board was 30 euros per person excluding drinks). And we booked 15 nights. I think at this price you can expect a certain level of service. The service at the pool bar was always very friendly and attentive. We would have liked more information on arrival about when breakfast and dinner is served and where, that there is also a restaurant attached to the hotel opposite (can you also have dinner there with half board or not?), where to book your sunbed the beach etc. Here is an info sheet
