What a lovely place this is to spend a few days doing mostly nothing! From the friendly welcome to the sad goodbye we had a wonderful 4 days. The rooms are large, private and simple, with everything you need- clean and cool. Ours had a great view over the gardens to the distant sea from our private terrace. Mango trees attracted the monkeys, who add some entertainment but will not bother you. You need to be aware that this lush environment attracts all kinds of fairly noisy nightlife so bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise! Interestingly we never got bitten by mosquitos- a real bonus! The pool is excellent, with a restaurant for lunch and the bar is run efficiently by Kaddy, who will make sure you know your reggae music before you leave ;-) Despite being a 25 minute drive from their private beach it is very much worth the journey and to make a day of it, with great food from the hotel off the BBQ, clear sea and a lovely quiet location. Food is excellent, with a choice of two restaurants- the 'Restaurant 750' menu is sophisticated and varied- we enjoyed two lovely dinners there, with cocktails and canapés to start in the comfortable lounge. We had a last night meal in the old mill- 'Mill Prive' - a different menu and an interesting place to dine. Breakfast is served on a separate terrace- really varied and again, great food served by the lovely Tasha and Leslie. Highlights for us at Montpellier were the people- all of them really friendly and helpful- it is easy to see that their repeat bookings are higher than average! We will certainly go again.
