Borgobianco Resort & Spa Polignano - MGallery

A beautiful location in the country with staff that could do enough for us. The room was perfect overlooking the pool, fields and sea a few miles away. The pool is decent size to swim in and kept spotless by the lifeguard. The team looking after the restaurant and pool bar were always pleased help. The food was excellent but if you were a vegetarian it would be limiting. You can find some of their excellent wines at Bari duty free to remind you of the great stay. It’s a place I would like to return to.

Such a beautiful place! The bedroom was perfectly designed - practical as well as beautiful - a desk, long hanging for long dresses too, somewhere good to sit and read a book both in the livingroom or in the terrace, a big shower - the list goes on. Everywhere in the hotel was pretty and in a relaxed and homely Italian style, as well attention to little details. The whole staff welcoming, they did above and beyond to please with our requests, breakfasts buffet delicious, restaurant and pool tremendous .... where does one stop ...?

We had the most perfect week- the hotel itself is just beautiful, so many lovely details from the gardens to decor. All very relaxing. Fantastic pool, quiet with super pool bar. The food deserves Michelin stars- first class, creative and great value for money. Maybe the highlight is the staff : the friendliest most efficient, nothing is too much! (Especially Aliandro and Mimma❤️) we cannot wait to come back!

On behalf of my family I want to thank the staff of Borgobianco for making our stay memorable during the week of April 11-18. Special thanks to Rosella - great professional and personality, so responsive to the needs of guests that we were truly amazed. Her attention and soft caring smile was felt during our entire stay. Anytime and anywhere - she was ready to help, to advice in a very elegant and timely manner. Thank you, Rosella, for assisting me with my medical issue, too. Also, we were happy to get to know the soul of the Bar area - Aurelio.  What a drive! What a passion for life, work and people! Truly impressive. Aurelio's friendly and kind communication manner made us feel like family. The Reception team was just wow! Nica, thank you for the prompt answers to my endless inquiries live and via app! Mauro, thank you for giving the tips on the best beaches and restaurants! Unfortunately, I do not remember all other names @reception, but I do remember that you all looked beautiful and handsome and ready to assist! Indeed, exceptionally skillful and gorgeous team. I wish to also thank Antonio who we met @rooftop breakfast and White restaurant for being such an authentically kind person and for patiently teaching me Italian! Entire breakfast service team was doing a perfect job. Special thanks to the White restaurant  crew! My celiac diet needs were always met and exceeded expectations! It was a pleasure to experience your top notch service! The Spa receptionist was very attentive and kind, too. Her way of communication was intact with the spa vibe - calming, pleasant, relaxing. Big thanks to the room cleaning service! What stroke me the most - the hard working ladies were almost invisible and soundless when doing their job. We had a mixed experience of this resort. First what we didn’t like: -it’s in the middle of nowhere deep in farmland countryside. It’s over 20 minutes from civilization (less if you know the roads, but note that google maps will not help you!) The only way to reach it is through extremely narrow, abandoned dirt roads, which at night and (heaven-forbid) after some wine, are actually dangerous to drive for the average driver. We slashed the side of our tire hitting the stonewalls on an extremely narrow turn and being a holiday in August on Sunday night, we were scrooged. Will tell you more…., - the hotel itself is dated and leaves a lot to be desired. A facelift maybe necessary…, Now what turned this from a crappy experience to the highlight of our one month trip in Italy: - the staff is absolutely incredible! Every single one them is amazing. Front office, bellman, restaurant managers, servers, poolside staff, everyone!! - my husband and I will forever remember that Sunday night when the hotel manager, Martino, and front desk manager, Alessandra, insisted on coming as fast as they could to pick us up in person when we called for advice on what to do when our roadside assistance said they had to tow our car. They jumped into their personal car as we spoke, had us send them our live location to find us, waited in the street for an hour with us, handled all the communication with roadside call center, and the paperwork with the tow truck when it arrived, and booked us a ride the following day to the airport to pick up a replacement vehicle. Not only did they do this with so much graciousness, they also surprised us upon return to the hotel with arrangements for a special table at the restaurant (which is outstanding!) where they bought us dinner and a bottle of wine, to turn our bad day around. This is beyond service! We felt taken care of. Quite often, we get onto a plan of action when we are on our short American vacations and we can be quite frustrated when we are forced to deviate from the plan for even one of those precious vacation days. For us, that one day (which could have easily been the low of our Italy time) left us so inspired and grateful, thanks to those two special people. It completely changed our outlook on a lot of things (and this is our 15th trip to Italy). We are SO grateful that we had that unpleasant experience because through it we discovered the kindness, care, and authenticity in the people we met in puglia. The hotel is just beautiful. The outdoor pool area and gardens are lovely and maintained very well. Rosella was so helpful with any and all requests and went out of her way to accommodate our group on our pilates retreat. The dinner menus were quite challenging to follow but the food was very good quality and plentiful. The breakfast was less varied but still good quality. The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities which is rare in Italy and some free refreshments in the lobby is also a nice gesture. The spa also offers healthy snacks and teas to enjoy after treatments or using the pool area. Overall a lovely place to spend a few days relaxing and enjoying 'la dolce vita'

We hosted a Pilates retreat at Borgobianco and dealt with Rossella Vicino throughout the 5 days. Rosella could not do enough for us she was amazing 10/10. So thoughtful and attentive and looked after us all the time. The facilities were amazing and the food was Michelin style. Just an amazing experience and would have no hesitation in recommending Borgobianco

We visited Borgobianco Resort on September 14, 2023, for two nights. We had two rooms reserved for our family. Check in was seamless and we were in our rooms in no time at all. The property was lovely and our rooms were very nice, We had Suite Room 202 and Suite Room 203. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Upon entering, we had a bowl of fresh fruit, waters, etc. We visited Bar Piscina for an evening drink an enjoyed the ambience of the area where we were seated. Our Son had room service for dinner and said the dinner was very good. We enjoyed the pool area the next day, had a nice lunch and wine. We also booked afternoon massages which were relaxing. That evening we were taken to Polignano A Mare by the Hotel Shuttle and it was nice that we did not have to drive our own vehicle and deal with the traffic or parking. Our Son spent the morning in Polignano A Mare and had lunch there before returning to enjoy the pool and also had a massage later in the day. They had Dinner at the Hotel Restaurant that evening and enjoyed it very much, along with the staff that worked. The daily breakfasts were delicious and the choices given were amazing. I read so many articles that said Italian breakfasts were only coffee and sweet Danish, but this was a complete breakfast with anything you could ever want (eggs, bacon, lox, bagels, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, breads, bakery items, etc.), along with many choices of juice, Prosecco, coffees, etc. The Staff were Fantastic... They were attentive and were always ready to help in any way we needed. We had a wonderful experience at Borgobianco and each person, (Desire, Cosimo, Rossella, Aleandro and Marieda) were at the top of their game. A resort could be great, but it was better than great due to the wonderful staff. MaryLynn, Jack, Nicolas and Brittany!!!

We had a nice enough time at this hotel but if feels a bit like the hotel needs a bit of love. First up, the staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed meeting and chatting with everyone. There's a shuttle that runs into town but it's unclear what time it runs and we couldn't seem to get a proper answer which is frustrating when you're trying to make plans for the week. The dining options are a mixed bag. Breakfast is wonderful and there's an excellent evening restaurant but it's very much a fine dining experience which wasn't ideal for a family with a toddler. There's a limited bar menu that basically consists of sandwiches but they were really disappointing quality and no pasta, pizza or anything simple that would be suitable for children. The pool area is looking a bit tired and probably needs a bit of a refurbish. Rooms are a good size, comfy and had everything we need so overall a nice enough experience but we left feeling it was a bit expensive and we probably wouldn't stay again.
