San Michele Suite

The staff here is lovely. So warm, they remembered our names, good energy. Unbeknownst to us we arrived on a national holiday, so the narrow streets of the town were virtually impassible and our plans for exploring became less appealing. However, we had to get out of our room. The staff was extremely flexible in letting my daughter and me stay at the rooftop terrace two more hours so we could enjoy the location. Btw, the sunset “drinks” were enough for us to make dinner out of by the way? Very generous.

The hotel was amazing! Great location, very cute rooms and very comfortable. The view from the terrace was incredible. The service was 10/10, they took such good care of us! Valentina was extremely helpful, always ready to help and give recommendations and support. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, the customer service is otherwordly.

San Michele Suites is 5 star all the way. We were the first guests of the season and were upgraded to a large suite overlooking the water. The view alone is really worth the price! Valentina treated us like she was our personal assistant. She took care of every single detail from parking to luggage to tour recommendations and restaurant reservations. She even contacted a local ceramics shop owner to open up for us to make purchases. We arrived on my birthday to a beautiful bouquet of flowers and special chocolates from a local shop. The entire experience was above and beyond!! The decor and details of the hotel are impeccably tasteful. Italian linens, ceramics and bath products are luxurious. I would love to return when the weather is warmer.

Polignano a Mare is a great town to visit, and this hotel is the perfect place to stay while there. The location was unbeatable, walkable to everything in town and overlooking Lama Monachile. The hotel itself was beautiful and spotless but best of all was the staff. Valentina, Marika, and Margarete were beyond helpful leading up to our trip, upon arrival, and during our stay. They even helped coordinate our transportation to and from the hotel. Would highly recommend staying here!

Overlooking the prettiest view of Puglia from our private terrace was a dream come true. We were spoiled every day thanks to the wonderful service of the amazing staff: from Margarita, Mareka, Lilly and Serena in the breakfast room, and of course Valentina, very helpful getting us on trains to other cities. All these people were warm and so eager to please. Made us feel like royalty. The boutique-hotel is filled with details of exquisite taste and talent: linens, fresh orchids, etc. We even has a few lunches and one dinner on our terrace to enjoy the amazing view. One night, we had a private chef for 8 guests who cooked for us some delicious food up on the hotel terrace. We were sad to leave San Michele Suite; we had the impression we had made some real friends.

Magical! Best way to describe our stay a couple of weeks ago at San Michele. We traveled from Los Angeles so it was a long traveling time by the time we arrived in Polignano a Mare in the evening in our rental. Margarita had arranged for us to park the car and get picked up and taken to the hotel. Upon arrival I was immediately smitten by this charming property and the cleanliness and good scent throughout. Our little suite was beautifully decorated, very cozy and clean. Everything was new. And so our perfect weekend there began. The terrace overlooking the beach is amazing, the breakfast was great and the staff was immaculate. I have to especially thank Margarita for being the cherry on top! Not only was she the most caring and sweetest but everything we needed she took care of. She made the best restaurant recommendations for us not just in Polignano but also in Monopoli where we went for a day and had one of our best and most memorable lunches thanks to her. One day we also had a group boat tour we had personally booked which we didn't end up going on after seeing it was not what we had been told. I was very disappointed but immediately Margarita found us a last minute booking for a private boat ride which ended up being the most memorable experience of our entire Puglia trip. I cannot express enough what an excellent experience San Michele was and would absolutely recommend staying there. The biggest thank you to Margarita and the rest of the ladies and staff at San Michele for leaving us an experience and with memories we will never forget.

We stayed here for the first 4 nights of our honeymoon and it was amazing! The staff is incredible - they were so kind, attentive & helpful. ANYTHING you needed, they could help you get it sorted within a matter of minutes. It was basically a bed & breakfast so we had a fabulous, intimate breakfast each morning. There are only a few rooms in the hotel so it's very quaint & personal. Our room had the most incredible view - it was updated, clean & comfortable. The rooftop was a nice little place to hangout with a great view. The walkability was amazing. I think our only complaint, and it is so minor, was that our room was right next to the reception area so it was a bit noisy and didn't feel private enough at times. We would absolutely stay here again & recommend it to friends! So beautiful.
