Ocean Watch Guest House

We booked a last minute stay at this beautiful beach front house. The communication was first class and the room we booked was large, spacious with the most amazing ocean view.

We stayed at Ocean Watch guest house for 1 night and we wished we had booked for a week! The room on the top main balcony area was very comfortable and the view of the sweeping bay was just WOW! The guest house has the most beautiful furnishings inside and out. The solar heated splash pool was perfect. Breakfast was also very good. Location to town is walkable but best if you have a car to go to the beach because of the hills. The guesthouse provides beach towels and umbrellas which was a lovely touch. Vanessa and team were very welcoming and helpful. Now we have discovered Ocean Watch we wouldn't stay anywhere else when staying in Plett. We had stayed at a 5 star previously but found this much more comfortable and homely. Would highly recommend.

The house is very nice and the view is fantastic. We booked the 'Colonial' room which supposed to have see view and a patio. But the see view was minimum and the patio can be used by anyone in the house. We paid 191 € which for us (we are frequent travelers) was to high compared to other rooms in the house (friends that stayed with us in the house had the 'Cabine' room and paid 112 € (which is 79 € less than us), which we find a more acceptable price. So we were a bit disappointed.

Such a beautifully decorated guest house! Vanessa is super friendly and showed us round the house at check in. We had a few power issues in the early morning but her lovely team were there to reassure us we could have cooked breakfast. A really nice touch by having petals on our bed for our Honeymoon, thank you! 🩷.

The views over Plettenberg Bay were gorgeous. The home is very beautiful and every detail was lovely from bed linens to soaps. Our room was immaculately clean and the location of this guest house is excellent. Our only complaint was a lack of privacy. Other guests sat right outside our room talking loudly and the guests in the room next to us undressed without closing their drapes. Not the owners fault, but awkward.

The guest house was very welcoming , we have enjoyed our stay the rooms where very comfortable and clean every need was met and the breakfast was great. The ladies that were there were very friendly and have welcomed me and my family including the kids with warm welcome and were very helpful when we needed help. Thank you for a great and wonderful hospitality.
