We stayed overnight en route to Skye and still managed a good walk and dinner in town ahead of a wonderful cooked breakfast. Would also be great as a base to explore the region. Wonderful welcome and the family room of a double with 2 singles adjoining through a door was a godsend for teenage kids. We loved it and will hopefully visit again.

My daughter and i stayed for the weekend, arriving on Friday evening. We were welcomed and made comfortable.
We stayed in a spotless twin room with ensuite shower.
Breakfast was a feast! I had to dial back the second day to just a single course, but the porridge with a dram is well recommended! Nancy and Scott looked after us well!

Lovely stay at the poplars over new year. Very friendly owners and the place is spotless. A warm welcome on arrival and everything you could need in the room. The whisky and shortbread in the room on Hogmanay was a lovely touch. We had a fabulous hearty breakfast with plenty to choose from and would love to stay here again

I received the most friendliest welcome of any place I have ever been to for work or pleasure. The whole property was spotless and extremely well maintained. The breakfast was exceptional. Unusual to get perfectly made porridge. As you may gather I thoroughly enjoy my stay 😊

We loved our stay at The Poplars! Scott and Nancy were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Their warm welcome was followed by delicious breakfasts and constant thoughtful attention. They helped with advice on local activities as well as making sure we had everything we needed (for example, early morning tea - I’m an early riser and, thankfully, so is Scott - packed breakfasts for our walks and so on). The house is beautiful, historic, comfortable (we had our best sleeps in Scotland here) and in an excellent location. The view from our room was breathtaking as it overlooks Pitlochry and the mountains. The Poplars is very close to the center of Pitlochry and so easy walking to lots of shops and restaurants. Without hesitation or reservation, we highly recommend The Poplars.

Returning to The Poplars for the 5th time in 6 years we were surprised to find ourselves the 1st guests for the new onwers - Scott & Nancy. We shoulnd't have been worried. Although doing things "their way" the initial experience was the high standards of friendliness, comfort, quality and good food are being maintained. Back in our favourite room (1) with views over the town and hills The Poplars is in a great location for seeing many parts of Scotland.
