Due to construction in the area, the location is not the most ideal at the moment, but this hotel is very nicely designed and pays close attention to details. The common area in the center is a nice space to relax and the guest rooms are nice and cozy as well. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Pick-up service at the train station was offered for free, but we needed to pay a small fee for drop-off service later. Overall, it was a nice stay and we would recommend staying here to anyone looking to explore the ancient city of Pingyao.

The stay experience was very good. Because you can't drive into the ancient city now, the owner of the B&B contacted me one day in advance to tell us where to park our car and pick us up from the parking lot to the B&B. The B&B is a local residential building with unique characteristics, and is located two minutes' walk from the city wall.

The owner of the B&B is very, very nice! When I arrived, he received me very warmly, gave me water, helped me plan the route to the scenic spots, recommended restaurants, and gave me coupons. I also bought cheaper tickets for ”See Pingyao Again” through the owner. I wanted to go to Wang's Courtyard and arranged a car. The owner has always been very caring, really considerate, and a very sincere person!
The courtyard environment is very beautiful and unique. I took a lot of photos, which are very good. The room is clean and hygienic, with everything it should have, and it is very quiet. The location of the B&B is very close to the scenic spots, and it can be walked for a few minutes.
Originally planned to stay only one night, but the overall experience was so good that I decided to stay another night. Because of special reasons, I upgraded my room on the first night.
I strongly recommend everyone to come to Pingyao to experience the enthusiasm of Shanxi, and I will definitely come again if I have the chance in the future!

The most satisfying inn I stayed in Pingyao. The environment is very good and cozy. The proprietress is beautiful and enthusiastic. It's like going to a friend's house. Share some food and travel tips! The room I booked has good lighting. It feels like life has really slowed down. It's very cozy. So I stayed one more day. It's a place you want to stay all the time. I highly recommend anyone to stay here because you will not regret it.
Remind that with due notice the owner will also come to pick you up for free at the train station upon your arrival. (I personally recommend giving a small financial contribution given the extreme kindness of these people) !!!

Very good location. Within the old town and close to many attractions and to the lower west gate where taxis can drop passengers. Very good services from staff. The hotel was converted from an old mansion which is a tourist attraction in itself. Do note that there are steps between the entrance and most rooms. Also, our room was over two floors. While these steps and stairs do not bother us it is something to note.

It's quite a pleasant hotel.
First of all, the location is very good. It will not be noisy on the bustling street. It is also very close to the city gate. You don't have to look for it in the alleys. There is a road along the city wall.
The boss's service is very enthusiastic, which can also be seen from the facilities provided in the room. Providing some things that other hotels have not thought of providing will make people feel that the service is very thoughtful and warm.
The price is also good, I booked it a few days in advance during New Year's Eve.
The room display and decoration are eye-catching and have local characteristics.
The only thing I'm a little confused about is the air conditioner. I didn't figure it out on the first night. Maybe it's because the weather in the north is cold and it takes some time to cool down.
All in all, my stay during the New Year's Eve was very comfortable and satisfactory.
(The Hongwuji recommended by the PS boss is really delicious)

It is really a quiet place in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Many other inns share the same storefront with photo studios and hotels. The only one who can stay in this location for a good night is Zhonghuixuan. The house is also very beautiful. After looking at many photos of B&Bs, I finally decided on this one.
Serve:
The service is beyond praise. The boss will take you to the city gate, and the ancient city guide is clearly arranged. Get up early and go to bed late just for everyone's safety🔐A bottle of mature vinegar is also given.

Within Pingyao walled city, it was easy to go to visit the sites. The lady owner gave me a map. Even though I speak no Chinese and they speak no English, we were able to communicate using a translator app. She recommended a restaurant when I asked.
They made the utmost effort to make your stay enjoyable. The owner took me to the railway station when I left.
P.S. Best to download MAPS.ME as it will work offline. Google Maps does not work in China. The taxi will drop you outside the city wall and you can ride the shuttle to the hotel. Make sure you got the Chinese address. Also same possible, install the Wechat app as it is used widely in China - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

It is a very good inn, on the main street, with attractions nearby, convenient to go anywhere, the bathroom and guest room bath water is very comfortable, hot immediately, and the service is warm and thoughtful. The room is consistent with the picture, the decoration style is very much liked, the various facilities are beautifully arranged, clean and hygienic, rest assured to stay, good sound insulation, warm air conditioning, slept very well all night, the environment is comfortable and quiet, turn right when you go out, it is the famous Rishengchang Ticket, it is very convenient to visit, the yard environment is very comfortable and open! Experience the slow-paced life and leisurely and comfortable place in the ancient city. The innkeeper is very enthusiastic, comfortable to stay, and a very happy stay experience. Highly recommended!

SSaucyIf you want to explore the ancient town of Pingyao, then this hotel is fantastic.
It's 15mins away from the high speed railway. They pick up and drop out off outside the city.
With the covid regulations in place, the hotel supported me through the process and helped me gain entry into the city. I was then collected and driven to the hotel.
Check-in was smooth and the lady helped me to book tickets for the Pingyao theatre show at the same time.
I received a free upgrade from a double room to a suite.
All in all, a fantastic holiday, and a great experience.
