"Grand Opera Hall guest house" is the Jin Merchants' Club 300 years ago. The name of Grand Opera Hall was inscribed by Mr. Qigong, a great master of Chinese culture . It has become a unique and precious work of Mr. Qigong. The Grand Opera Hall guest house is located at the Nine Dragons of Pingyao ancient city, with Confucian temple and God of wealth temple in the west, Kuixing tower in the South and ancient city wall in the East. It was built in 1703, the 42nd year of Kangxi. In order to welcome the emperor to visit the west, four big buildings and music hall were built. In the 26th year of Guangxu, Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu traveled to the west to enjoy the opera and stayed in the Grand Opera Hall.Show More

Reception speaks english. Traditional bed was very huge and super comfortable to sleep.
Pipes in the bathroom are old and for thos reason stinky. Power of hot water innpipe is poor but os enough to take a slow shower. Showet is fulfilled with water which doesnt go away fast.

Excellent stay. It's a massive complex with many sections, looks beautiful day and night, perfect location near entrance gate to city wall and main roads. Room was big, clean, comfortable and nicely designed. Toiletries and breakfast included, good food. Staff very friendly, helpful and patient with my attempts at chinese/using a translator app. Overall great value, no issues at all.

Located inside the ancient city walls close to a number of attractions including South Street. The pick up and drop off service from the high speed railway station is a big plus with regards this hotel. Don't expect much else though. The rooms are dated, service mediocre and the breakfast adequate.

We visited in July 2022, it was very nice and friendly for foreigners. They provided a free pick-up and drop-off service from the train station and helped us organise transport to Mianshan. The staff were very kind and patient. We really enjoyed our stay

非常喜歡大戲台賓舍的環境，盛開的月季🌹充滿了整個庭院，潺潺流淌的小溪泉水給人一種寧靜致遠的感覺，住在明清建築裏讓人有一種穿越的錯覺。特別是浴室夠大夠寬敞。尤其是運營師小賈在我預訂酒店後第一時間就加了我微信，發給我平遙古城遊玩的各種攻略，真是非常的貼心服務。

國慶房費高，房間很小，一個炕，放了箱子就沒辦法走路。
沒有服務
攜程定義為豪華酒店實在不符合。
酒店早餐很差。
客棧大堂撿漏，十度
十度天氣，大堂坐着瑟瑟發抖，沒有熱空調。
性價比低不推薦。

選擇住在古城裡是對的，選擇平遙大戲堂賓舍更是對的。首先表揚一下姓賈的客服經理，入住前就與我們聯繫，等我們剛到停車場，已經有酒店的電瓶車在等待了。酒店的位置很好，就在文廟邊上，旁邊就是平遙的九龍壁。房間古色古香，衞生做的不錯，尤其是衞生間的沐浴房很寬敞，在裏面洗澡不會侷促。酒店的早餐衹能説一般，不過好在散客和團隊是分開用餐的，這一點很好，不會讓人有種亂哄哄的感覺。古城的夜景很美，酒店的夜景也很美，晚上出房間門在小院裏小坐片刻，感覺也是很好的。最後一點小驚喜是我們退房時，酒店送了我們每間客房的客人一壺山西老陳醋，這點非常暖心，正所謂禮輕情誼重，非常感謝酒店的安排。下次再來平遙古城，他家是不二之選。

平遙大戲堂靠近古城東門，旁邊就是文廟，跟平遙會館是一起的，環境優雅古香古色，鬧中取靜別有洞天，感覺特別好，房間也很乾凈，佈置非常有特色，早餐還比較豐盛，在平遙呆了兩天，服務熱情臨走還送了一瓶陳醋。下次來啊，還會住這裏

交通：平遙古城的活動大多數都是下午到夜間，所以要進城儘量在下午2點之前，否則周邊會比較堵；
位置：酒店在新東門進去200米，九龍壁後面，旁邊是文聖學宮，過去不遠是城隍廟，白天是最繁華熱鬧的地方，但是晚上就比較安靜不吵鬧；
配套：酒店前面是大戲台，吃晚飯並看地方特色表演，表演6：30～7：30，住店賓客有優惠；
服務：酒店大堂古香古色，服務員都着漢服，服務也很熱情，前台也有不少古裝，非常適合在酒店拍照；
入住：我們是下午到店，外面很熱鬧，原以為房間會比較吵，我們訂的是土炕房，服務員帶着我們走過一段很有歷史的小巷（3分鐘左右），進入一個四合院，冬日陽光正好，小院很安靜舒適，很有北方特色，我們的房間不大，但設施齊全，衞生也很好，能做到乾濕分離，很多民宿是做不到的，不足是水量偏小（感覺山西是不是缺水，基本都是這樣），晚上外面温度已經-5，但是在房間睡覺很暖和舒服，早晨是在鳥鳴是漸漸甦醒，不足是早餐人很多，需要排隊等待，品種不多但足夠填飽肚子；
整體我個人覺得個很不錯的入住體驗
