The staff were very attentive and made sure I was picked up properly from the train station. The car was waiting for me just before my train arrived in Pingyao Ancient City. The bed was super comfy and I loved the old ancient charm of the hotel. Only thing that can improve is the breakfast buffet. People were raiding everything and the food wasn’t refilled in a timely manner. I was only able to get a boiled egg and a banana in the end. Didn’t want to have to fight for the food with other people

Pingyao Guesthouse was a delightful surprise! It's a historic guesthouse with a charming courtyard. We arrived quite early from Beijing and were even upgraded to a deluxe 'tukang' (heated brick bed) room. The breakfast was well-balanced and delicious. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of local vinegar when we checked out!

This hotel is a conversion of the old Pingyao High School dormitories, located near the new East Gate. It naturally exudes a classic, ancient charm and is ideally situated right next to the Confucius Temple. The pick-up and drop-off service was especially valuable during the long holiday weekend. This was my first time sleeping on a 'tukang' (heated brick bed), and it was incredibly comfortable. It was spacious enough for our family of three, and they even provided extra quilts. The service was excellent; they offered free pick-up from outside the city and helped us purchase tickets for a show and a travel photography session, all at a fair price. Highly recommended!

Amazing place in Pingyao Ancient city! The hotel is soooo beautiful! Very nice! And the staff are great. They offered complimentary Transfer from Pingyao Gucheng to the hotel and back, which was very convenient for us. The hotel area is very beautiful, ideal for pictures. If we come back to Pingyao, we will stay here for sure!
