AI Summary

Guests enjoy comfortable, spacious rooms with great views, exceptional cleanliness, and excellent service. The central location is convenient for exploring local attractions. However, some find the pricing, particularly for food, to be high for the quality received.

The most bland vegan risotto I’ever tried… at the price of 27,90 euro. When I said so, the waiter said that I would need to add some salt (!). It would be good if the chef tasted their food before serving it. Unacceptable prices for the quality of food. I will never visit again and won’t even bother to book a room.

We visited the hotel for lunch thus this review only involves the restaurant food and not the stay or amenities. As our visit was in January we ordered a Beef Consommé soup. To our disappointment the soup was very blunt tasted more like boiled water instead of stock or broth. To top things up the soup was a very very small portion. Considering the soups was priced at 15.50 euros per person we were unfortunately disappointed by the Kitchen at our visit. Would recommend reconsidering menu pricing and reevaluating some of the dishes.

To be honest, I visited the hotel’s restaurant for a lunch, so I am not allowed to have an opinion regarding the hotel’s amenities and stay. We visited on a Saturday, 3 people. Food was tasty, portions were generous, staff was polite BUT the pricing was… over the top. We ordered a salad for starter (€18.50), 2 main dishes (a trout for €29.50 and a chicken for €24.50), 1 bottle of water (€3.00) and 2 glasses of local wine (€9.00 each). I consider myself a real traveller, visiting every year (repeatedly) a few of the most beautiful cities in Europe -from Paris, to Rome and Athens. When I travel I always visit traditional, cute places to amazing Michelin star restaurants so as to have different culinary experiences. I don’t mind spending a lot of money if there is a reason (for example if the chef is a superstar, if the restaurant is Michelin awarded, if the view is the best in the city -obviously you have to pay more if your view is Eiffel Tower or London Eye, etc) BUT I found the prices at Palais Perite insanely high -considering you are having a lunch at a small village in the Cyprus mountains. Nothing can justify the prices and the only reason I am posting this, is not because I want to give a bad review. That would have been unfair. The only reason I am writing all of the above, is simply to give the management some… food for thought. 🤍

How this hotel is only classified as a two star is beyond me!!! The staff are wonderful, particularly Anika and Audrey, the food is great, the wines excellent, the rooms well furnished, the beds comfortable, the decor is tasteful. The views from most rooms and the dining room are spectacular, the hotel location is great, right in the middle of Platres. I have stayed in much worse 4 star hotels in Spain, Italy and France. The attention to detail in this hotel is first class and we will definitely be back. The prices are great value and the chocolate fondant dessert is the best I have had in Cyprus!!! Great job guys, we look forward to staying with you again soon.

Today, we were treated to an exquisite surprise when we visited the charming Petite Palais Hotel. It was the most enjoyable dinner I've had in a long time. Although Petit Palais is a small hotel, we decided to try their restaurant for dinner. To our delight, the chef's skills were truly excellent, and the food was delicious. I must emphasize just how incredible it was! Our dining experience began with a starter that pleasantly surprised us. The grilled octopus and fava beans were perfectly combined, creating a delightful harmony of flavours. The size of the portion was also impressive. Moving on to our main course, we were served the freshest local trout prepared to perfection. It truly showcased the culinary expertise of the chef. And as for dessert... it was an absolute delight! The melfou melted in our mouths, leaving us in awe. While it's true that the taverns in Troodos always offer good food, this hotel and its executive chef are undoubtedly a hidden gem. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this place for lunch. Trust me. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic hotel - amazing food - beautifully decorated with minimal luxury rooms - run by professionals. My visit to Petit Palais Exceeded my expectations! Dining can be considered to be fine of high level of sophisticated unique dishes. Service is high of standard and it’s an experience which each and everyone deserves to have.

A complete disappointment. Father had his birthday and we went over to the restaurant (9 people) looking forward to a fresh plate of pasta( had tasted this before and it was amazing ). It was a complete disaster ! Surely not returning . The menu prices were increased dramatically in December 2021 the same plate of pasta was €16.50 , today on the website it is listed at €18.50 and we were charged today €21.50 ( same plate , no differences). The pasta was over cooked and tasteless. The service were not anywhere reflecting the 5 star restaurant and the prices. Defnitley need intense training . ! Truly disappointed and defnitely do not intend to return.
