When I come to the Hotel, the ***ager says the room costs 1200 INR - instead of the 604 I shall pay according to ***********. Since I have a taxi driver waiting and cannot risk not getting a room, I pay 1200. When I ask for a receipt, the ***ager says he can only e-mail it, but not until the check-out time tomorrow 11 AM. (I am leaving 4 AM.) The promised e-mail never arrived. What one should do in a situation like this, is to call *********** *before* paying. They will then talk to the ***ager and if he/she refuses to accept the payment stated on the booking, they will arrange for another hotel in the neighborhood. One then only must pay the original price. (Booking will invoice the corrupt hotel for the difference.) I did not do this, but only called *********** when I had paid cash and was in the hotel room. (They only accept cash.) Boking.com then called the ***ager who insisted I had only paid 614 INR. Since I had paid 1200 cash, but could not prove it, it was not much to do – except report the whole story to ***********’s help desk and send this review to ***********, Google Maps and TripAdvisor. PS. There are more reviews (on several sites) that mention that the hotel askes for more money than stated in the booking. For instance, this Indian review from 2023 on ***********: “I had paid the price which was fixed as Rs509. But when I reached the hotel he says he is not aggree with the price, its *********** mistake and i had to pay 1000rs extra to stay. Then I called 100 for Police Helpline and tell the story how ***ager Mr Ranjeet is cheating. Then the Police came and i show him all the evidances then they give me the Room. Please be aware this Hotel is a fraud.” PPS. Reading through the reviews on ***********, I cannot but suspect that ***y of the top reviews are not authentic. Read and decide for yourself. PPPS. I hope everyone that is cheated like me, report this to *********** and write appropriate reviews. Maybe then the hotel will end its corrupt practices – when they realize that it is not worth it to earn 600 INR (US$ 7) by scamming someone like me.

The unprofessionalism and rudeness at this 'hotel' is second to none! After having walked with a 10kg backpack from Chennai Airport and barely able to find this place as the google map shows its location in another street, I presented my *********** voucher to the concierge. This ***, whose rudeness and ignorance was simply unbelievable, asked me then to pay another INR 100+ without being able to explain what this 'surcharge' was supposed to be. I refused to pay as this was not outline on the hotel's profile on bookings.com and I had previously paid the full amount via OYO Pay. As the argument heated up and I was simply exhausted after a long walk with full luggage in the heat, for which this place had no consideration, decided to walk out and book myself into a much better hotel just around the corner. Following up on this incident via bookings.com, OYO hotels, to which this place belongs, responds with standardised messages that have nothing to do with the issue raised: asking for a refund. Even worse, the ever-same phone number does not work and one just wastes money listening to pre-recorded messages.
